Từ Atletico, Leicester đến tuyển Việt Nam: Vì 4-4-2 là chân lý

Có một điểm chung giữa Atletico Madrid và Leicester, hai đội bóng “bình dân” nhưng lại đang gặt hái được nhiều kết quả tốt ở mùa này, đó chính là họ cùng áp dụng sơ đồ 4-4-2 chắc chắn trong phòng ngự. Vì sao một sơ đồ chiến thuật tưởng chừng như rất cơ bản lại đem đến thành công như vậy?

Điểm cộng trong phòng ngự

Bóng đá hiện đại đang chứng kiến sự lên ngôi của hai sơ đồ 4-2-3-1 và 4-3-3. Đây được xem là những sơ đồ đa năng khi có thể phát huy tối đa khả năng của từng cầu thủ và cho thấy sự toàn diện trong lối chơi. Rất nhiều đội bóng hàng đầu thế giới áp dụng những sơ đồ này như Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea...

Tuy nhiên, điểm yếu của những sơ đồ thời thượng này lại đến từ chính sự đa năng của nó. Để vận hành được chúng, một HLV cần phải có những cầu thủ giỏi và chơi bóng ở trình độ rất cao, điều mà không phải đội bóng nào cũng đáp ứng được.

Ở khía cạnh ngược lại, 4-4-2 lại là một sơ đồ cơ bản và cực kỳ đơn giản. Trong bóng đá, có một nguyên tắc không bao giờ thay đổi là khi ở vào thế phòng thủ, bất kể sơ đồ nào cũng sẽ dàn đội hình về 4-4-2. Lí do là bởi cự ly đội hình trong sơ đồ này đều đặn giữa các tuyến, các vị trí và điều đó khiến cho công tác phòng ngự đơn giản đi rất nhiều. Bên cạnh đó, ba hàng ngang gồm 4 hậu vệ, 4 tiền vệ và 2 tiền đạo được giăng ra một cách khoa học cũng giúp cho các vị trí hỗ trợ nhau dễ dàng hơn.

Chính vì vậy, việc ra sân với sơ đồ 4-4-2, đầu tiên là thuận tiện cho việc phòng ngự khi các cầu thủ không phải di chuyển để thay đổi vị trí. Trong khi đó, với các sơ đồ khác mà ví dụ như Barcelona đá 4-3-3, khi phòng ngự thì một trong ba tiền đạo là Messi, Suarez hoặc Neymar sẽ phải lùi về để trám vào cho đủ 4 người ở hàng tiền vệ. Trong khi ba cầu thủ tiền vệ lúc này lại phải di chuyển dàn đều ra ngang sân. Đây là yếu tố tương đối phức tạp nếu đòi hỏi ở những cầu thủ trung bình.

Đối với những đội bóng bị đánh giá thấp và ra sân với vị thế cửa dưới, điều đầu tiên họ quan tâm là khả năng phòng ngự. Chính vì vậy, không có gì ngạc nhiên khi 4-4-2 là sơ đồ quen thuộc của những đội bóng vốn bị đánh giá thấp và chỉ sở hữu những nhân tố trung bình khá như Atletico hay Leicester.

Nguyên liệu để vận hành 4-4-2

Để phòng ngự tốt với 4-4-2, cự ly giữa ba hàng ngang cần phải được co hẹp lại để hạn chế tối đa khoảng trống giữa các tuyến cho đối thủ. Khi chơi ở gần nhau, cầu thủ ở các tuyến cũng dễ dàng lui về hỗ trợ hơn. Tuy nhiên, điều này đòi hỏi các cầu thủ phải di chuyển rất nhiều. Họ phải chạy để lấp bất kỳ khoảng trống nào xuất hiện và tranh chấp quyết liệt để giành lại bóng.

Chưa dừng lại ở đó, để đá phản công với 4-4-2 thì những cách lựa chọn nhân sự cũng mang đặc thù rất riêng. Với việc hầu như triển khai bóng dọc biên hoặc phát động tấn công nhanh, sơ đồ này cần có những mẫu tiền vệ chạy cánh chuyên bám biên đầy tốc độ, sẵn sàng lui về tham gia phòng ngự và tạt bóng tốt. Ở trái tim của hàng tiền vệ, mục đích của 4-4-2 là khóa chặt trung tuyến để ngăn đối thủ triển khai bóng từ giữa sân. Chính vì vậy, các HLV thường ưa thích sử dụng một cặp tiền vệ trụ theo dạng con thoi hơn là sử dụng một tiền vệ sáng tạo để làm bóng.

Minh chứng điển hình là cặp đôi Kante-Drinkwater ở Leicester, những người di chuyển khắp mặt sân không biết mệt mỏi và cáng đáng mọi nhiệm vụ từ phòng ngự đến tấn công. Ở Atletico, HLV Diego Simeone cũng luân phiên sử dụng các tiền vệ “công nhân” cho hai vị trí này như Gabi, Koke, Saul hay Augusto Fernandez. Cách đây chưa lâu và ở một cấp độ thấp hơn, HLV Toshiya Miura cũng làm điều tương tự khi trọng dụng những Huy Hùng, Hoàng Thịnh, Duy Mạnh, Hữu Dũng. Tuy nhiên điểm khác biệt là ông lại nhận chỉ trích một cách khó hiểu từ số đông CĐV và chuyên gia người Việt.

Trên hàng công, cặp tiền đạo trong sơ đồ 4-4-2 thường có xu hướng chơi lùi và tham gia hỗ trợ nhiều cho phòng ngự. Tùy vào mỗi yêu cầu của từng HLV mà hai tiền đạo sẽ được bố trí những nhiệm vụ khác nhau, tuy nhiên, họ bắt buộc là người đầu tiên phải đuổi theo đối thủ khi đội nhà mất bóng.

Đơn giản nhất là hiệu quả nhất

Xét trên bình diện Châu Âu, Atletico Madrid chỉ là đội bóng có lực lượng trung bình khá. Còn đối với Leicester, năm ngoái cũng với hầu hết những con người này, họ vất vả bơi trong cuộc chiến trụ hạng và việc Bầy cáo ở lại được với Premier League vẫn được gọi là điều thần kỳ. Đối với một HLV, khi trong tay mình chỉ là những nguyên liệu rất hạn chế, họ cần phải có những tính toán hợp lý.

Với những cầu thủ có trình độ trung bình, đòi hỏi cao ở yếu tố kỹ thuật, kỹ năng chơi bóng hay tư duy là điều quá khó. Chính vì vậy, người HLV phải khai thác họ ở những khía cạnh khác, những khía cạnh mang tính “số lượng” và có thể bù đắp bằng nỗ lực chăm chỉ theo thời gian. Đó là thể lực, khả năng tranh chấp, sự cần cù, ý thức tuân thủ chiến thuật tốt. Kỹ thuật và tư duy phải rèn luyện từ nhỏ nhưng những yếu tố vừa đề cập thì có thể có được trong một thời gian không quá dài.

Sẽ là không quá khi nói rằng yếu tố hàng đầu để chơi tốt cho những đội như Atletico hay Leicester là một cầu thủ phải chịu chạy. Điều đó cũng giống như việc dư luận Việt Nam luôn luôn than vãn một thời gian dài rằng ông Miura chỉ thích triệu tập những cầu thủ có thể hình và sức mạnh. Đó đơn giản là bởi những chiến lược gia này rất thực tế với những gì họ có trong tay. Đối với họ, kết quả là yếu tố được ưu tiên hàng đầu.

Chỉ với những nguồn lực hạn chế trong tay, những Atletico Madrid, Leicester hay tuyển Việt Nam và còn nhiều ví dụ khác nữa, đã làm nên những điều kỳ diệu. Sơ đồ 4-4-2 đã chứng tỏ nó vẫn còn nguyên giá trị trong kỷ nguyên bóng đá hiện đại.
