Arsenal: Coquelin thăng hoa, vẫn cần mua thêm tiền vệ trụ?

Ngay cả khi cái tên Francis Coquelin đang trở thành lời giải xứng đáng dành cho vị trí “mỏ neo” trên hàng tiền vệ Arsenal thì nhiệm vụ tăng cường tuyến giữa vẫn trở nên vô cùng thiết yếu đối với đội bóng thành London.

Giai đoạn lượt về mùa giải 2014/2015, sự xuất hiện đầy bất ngờ của cái tên Coquelin đã thực sự trở thành “cứu cánh” cho thầy trò HLV Wenger thoát khỏi một năm thảm họa. Từ chỗ phải chật vật cạnh tranh một vị trí trong top 4 Premier League, Arsenal đã thi đấu hết sức thăng hoa và từng có không ít thời điểm sẵn sàng cạnh tranh ngôi vô địch với đội dẫn đầu Chelsea. Đương nhiên, trong quá trình thành công của Pháo thủ, cũng không thể không nhắc đến sự thay đổi đáng kể về mặt triết lý bóng đá đến từ phía HLV Wenger, với nhân tố tâm điểm mang tên Francis Coquelin. Bằng một lối chơi hoàn toàn mới, sẵn sàng chấp nhận từ bỏ phong cách kiểm soát bóng quen thuộc để tập trung nhiều hơn vào khâu phòng ngự phản công, đội bóng chủ sân Emirates đã “thay da đổi thịt” một cách mạnh mẽ. Đây cũng chính là lý do giải thích vì sao Arsenal có thể thi đấu ổn định và hiệu quả hơn trước.

Coquelin đã chứng tỏ được năng lực trong giai đoạn lượt về mùa giải năm nay

Nhìn vào những màn trình diễn tuyệt vời của cá nhân Coquelin, có lẽ chẳng mấy ai tin rằng trước kỳ chuyển nhượng mùa Đông năm nay, anh thậm chí còn đang bị đem cho Charlton mượn. Thế nhưng, chỉ bằng đúng một cú điện thoại từ London, “Giáo sư” Wenger đã chính thức giải cứu sự nghiệp của tài năng trẻ người Pháp ra khỏi vũng lầy tăm tối đồng thời cũng cứu Pháo thủ thoát khỏi quãng thời gian khủng hoảng trầm trọng. Dễ dàng nhận thấy rằng, Coquelin đã mang đến cho hàng tiền vệ Arsenal một “nguồn năng lượng” hoàn toàn mới mẻ. Bằng nền tảng thể lực sung mãn, lối chơi quyết liệt, không ngại va chạm, ngôi sao 24 tuổi đã giúp tuyến giữa đội bóng thành London duy trì được “sức chiến đấu” cần thiết để sẵn sàng đối mặt với mọi tình huống phản công bên phía đối phương.

Thống kê cho thấy, trải qua 1674 phút ra sân tại Premier League mùa này, Coquelin đã thực hiện được trung bình mỗi trận 3,6 tình huống đánh chặn thành công; 2,7 cú tắc bóng chuẩn xác và 3,1 pha cản phá kịp thời. Vô hình chung, sự xuất hiện của ngôi sao người Pháp cũng chính là cơ sở quan trọng để HLV Wenger thực hiện ý tưởng kéo Cazorla lùi về thi đấu trong vai trò một “deep-lying playmaker” (tiền vệ tổ chức lùi sâu), qua đó giúp lối chơi của Arsenal phần nào trở nên cơ động và linh hoạt hơn ngay từ sân nhà. Mặt khác, trên hàng công, “Giáo sư” vẫn có thể tận dụng triệt để khả năng sáng tạo của “nhạc trưởng” Mesut Oezil trong vai trò một cầu thủ số 10 thuần túy.

Mặc dù vậy, trong trường hợp phải đưa ra những đánh giá một cách tổng thể, liệu rằng chỉ một mình Coquelin sẽ là đủ cho hàng tiền vệ Arsenal, ngay cả ở các mùa giải tiếp theo? Dễ dàng nhận thấy rằng, bản thân ngôi sao 24 tuổi mặc dù là một “máy quét” cực kỳ hiệu quả nhưng lại tỏ ra tương đối kém trong khâu xử lý và phân phối bóng. Vô hình chung, điều này cũng khiến cho tuyến giữa đội bóng thành London trở nên mất nhịp độ trong một số thời điểm. Ngoài ra, khi Pháo thủ cần phải đẩy cao tốc độ luân chuyển bóng để triển khai tấn công một cách nhanh chóng hơn, sự xuất hiện của Coquelin trên sân cũng phần nào trở nên hơi thừa thãi và khó lòng đóng góp vào lối chơi chung.

Về mặt lý thuyết, Arsenal đã chấp nhận chuyển sang vận hành lối chơi phòng ngự phản công bằng một phong cách có phần thực dụng hơn đồng thời đề cao tính hiệu quả lên hàng đầu. Tuy nhiên, xét trên nhiều khía cạnh, nền tảng cơ bản trong lối đá của đội bóng thành London vẫn chủ yếu dựa vào khả năng luân chuyển bóng nhịp nhàng đến từ các cầu thủ sở hữu phẩm chất kỹ thuật cá nhân tốt. Do đó, trong trường hợp phải lựa chọn một nhân tố phù hợp hơn cả dành cho tuyến giữa Pháo thủ, cái tên Morgan Schneiderlin của Southampton xem ra sẽ là giải pháp hoàn hảo nhất đối với thầy trò HLV Wenger.

Theo thống kê, Schneiderlin không hề thua kém Coquelin là bao ở khả năng phòng ngự, với trung bình 3,1 cú tắc bóng thành công cùng 2,42 tình huống đánh chặn chuẩn xác trong mỗi trận Premier League mùa này. Bên cạnh đó, cầu thủ mang áo số 4 của Southampton hoàn toàn tỏ ra vượt trội về khả năng phân phối và tổ chức, với tỷ lệ chuyền bóng chính xác lên đến 89% (so với 86% của Coquelin). Chưa kể, tính trung bình mỗi trận, Schneiderlin cũng tung ra 0,73 đường chuyền quan trọng và tạo được 0,77 cơ hội ngon ăn cho các đồng đội (Coquelin chỉ có 0,23 đường chuyền quan trọng và tạo được 0,23 cơ hội).

Nhìn chung, Coquelin chắc chắn vẫn sẽ giữ vai trò “hạt nhân” ở hàng tiền vệ Arsenal trong mùa giải năm sau. Thế nhưng, thay vì quá lạm dụng “sức vóc” của ngôi sao trẻ người Pháp, HLV Wenger cần phải sớm tìm kiếm thêm một số phương án giúp cho đội bóng chủ sân Emirates có thể ứng biến linh hoạt trong những thời điểm gặp bế tắc. Đương nhiên, một cái tên đẳng cấp và hứa hẹn như Schneiderlin cũng hoàn toàn có thể giúp “Giáo sư” giải quyết trọn vẹn bài toán này.
