Man City - Man Utd: Derby sinh tử & Chiến luỹ cuối cùng

Chưa ai đánh bại nổi Man City ở Premier League mùa này, nhưng sự nghi ngờ về biên giới chiến thắng chỉ gói gọn trong phạm vi nước Anh của họ đang ngày một lớn hơn. Không ai giành nhiều điểm số ở Premier League hơn Man Utd mùa này, nhưng sự nghi ngờ về hệ thống thi đấu trục trặc của họ còn nhiều hơn cả những chiến thắng giành được trên chặng đường đã qua.

Định hình lại M.U

Những gì M.U đang thể hiện đi ngược lại quan niệm bóng đá hiện tại của HLV Alex Ferguson. Thứ bóng đá đẹp, nhưng ngây thơ của họ vào thập niên 90 thế kỷ trước đã được thay thế bằng tư tưởng thực dụng trong một thập kỷ đổ lại. Nửa tá chức vô địch Premier League và danh hiệu Champions League mùa 2007-2008 được xây dựng trên nền tảng này. Sir Alex đã xây dựng một đội bóng có tổ chức, với nhiều cầu thủ kỷ luật tốt, và chơi trước hết để không thua. Chiến thắng chỉ được tạo ra mang tính thời điểm, không phải là kết quả của một thế trận áp đặt toàn diện, mà dựa trên sự tính toán để phát huy đúng lúc năng lực của các cá nhân xuất sắc.

 

M.U đang làm không tốt nhiệm vụ đầu tiên. Tại Premier League mùa này, họ nhận số bàn thua nhiều nhất sau 15 vòng trong một thập kỷ qua, và rơi vào thế bị dẫn bàn 10 trận. Nguyên nhân: Sự thiếu vắng của những mẫu cầu thủ tạo ra thế trận không thua, là một thủ môn chắc chắn (như van der Sar), một trung vệ thủ lĩnh (Rio Ferdinand thời đỉnh cao), một chỗ dựa ở tuyến tiền vệ để bóp nát hưng phấn của đối thủ, bằng cách điều tiết bóng (như Paul Scholes thời đỉnh cao), hoặc thu hồi bóng (Roy Keane).

Định hình lại Man City

Những gì Man City đang thể hiện cũng đi ngược lại phong cách mà họ đã xây dựng được tương đối mùa bóng trước. Đội bóng của HLV Roberto Mancini vẫn kiểm soát bóng tốt và duy trì thế trận áp đặt trước đa số các đối thủ, nhưng thiếu hẳn sự đột biến trong 30 mét cuối cùng. Chính vì thế, ghi bàn bỗng trở thành một công việc khó khăn với một đội bóng có đến 4 chân sút đẳng cấp cao và rất nhiều ngôi sao châm ngòi. Cùng kỳ mùa trước, Man City ghi tới 49 bàn sau 15 vòng. Mùa này là 28 bàn, giảm đến một nửa!

Nguyên nhân: Bị các đối thủ bắt bài và cảm hứng suy giảm là những lý do thông thường và... tất yếu, nhưng quan trọng hơn cả, sự thiếu táo bạo của ông Mancini trong chiến thuật thi đấu dù nắm trong tay một đội ngũ tấn công dồi dào đã lan truyền và làm suy kiệt cảm hứng tấn công, lẫn khát khao chiến thắng. Điểm tựa niềm tin vững chắc nhất cho Man City hiện tại là sân Etihad, nơi đã bất bại ở Premier League hai năm qua, nhưng phạm vi của niềm tin ấy ngày càng thu hẹp. Cả mùa trước, Man City chỉ 4 lần mất điểm trên sân nhà tính trên mọi mặt trận (2 trận thua). Mùa này, họ đã 6 lần mất điểm (5 hoà và 1 thua). Số trận hoà quá nhiều phản ánh sự thiếu tự tin để bùng nổ của ông Mancini.

Khi tự tin, tại Etihad (và càng tốt hơn nếu là tại Premier League), Man City có thể làm mọi chuyện, như cách ông Mancini tung ra sân 3 tiền đạo và lội ngược dòng 3-2 trước Southampton ở vòng một.

Giải pháp cho M.U?

Sir Alex đã chấp nhận bù đắp sự yếu kém của hệ thống phòng ngự (cả hệ thống, chứ không chỉ riêng hàng thủ), bằng cách tập trung vào việc xây dựng các ý tưởng tấn công dồi dào để phát huy tối đa khả năng của các cá nhân, hoặc đôi khi là chỉ để cho càng nhiều cá nhân tạo đột biến vào đội hình càng tốt. Sơ đồ kim cương là một ý tưởng như thế. Một tháng qua, Sir Alex liên tục cho M.U chơi với ít nhất hai tiền đạo. Trận thắng nghẹt thở trước Reading, M.U vận hành hệ thống 4-3-3, với đinh ba trên hàng công là Rooney – van Persie – Young.

Nhưng đó hoàn toàn là giải pháp tạo ra đất diễn cho các cá nhân, vì triết lý ghi bàn theo thời điểm, chứ không áp đặt thế trận, của M.U vẫn nguyên vẹn. Họ chỉ nguy hiểm hơn vì có van Persie, một chuyên gia chơi kiểu này, hay một siêu dự bị là Chicharito. Và sự thực dụng thể hiện cả trong các pha bóng cố định: 9,6% các bàn thắng của M.U đến từ bóng chết, nhiều nhất Premier League.

Giải pháp cho Man City?

Mùa trước, Man City tạo được sự cân bằng tốt giữa tấn công và phòng ngự, vận hành hệ thống 4-4-1-1 khi không có bóng và chuyển thành 4-2-3-1 khi giữ bóng, nhưng sự táo bạo từng có đã biến mất. Man City vẫn giữ bóng tốt, nhưng họ trì hoãn việc triển khai khá lâu cho đến khi các phương án chống phản công được an toàn mới phát động. Sự thận trọng ấy của ông Mancini khiến bóng của Man City quẩn quanh ở giữa sân, nhưng tạo ra ngày một ít cơ hội, và khiến chính các cầu thủ tấn công bị bào mòn cảm hứng.

Giải pháp tốt nhất cho Man City là trở lại với ý tưởng tấn công táo bạo, với hàng thủ dâng cao, ép sân liên tục và tích cực mở biên như mùa trước, nhưng để đòi hỏi cảm hứng thi đấu trở lại, ông Mancini cần ít nhất một chuỗi chiến thắng, càng nhiều bàn càng tốt, để kích thích cảm hứng trở lại và thói quen sáng tạo đã bị cùn mòn.

M.U sẽ công phá được Etihad

Ngược với Man City, giải pháp của M.U đã được thực hiện một cách nhất quán và liên tục mùa bóng này. Các tiền đạo, yếu tố quan trọng nhất của đội hiện tại, đang chơi vào phom. Trong khi sự thiếu cảm hứng trên hàng công, thứ khó có thể được đánh thức tức thời, có thể làm hại Man City.

M.U có thể bị thủng lưới ngay trong hiệp một, như thói quen, nhưng khi sự thực dụng và cách tính toán thời điểm hợp lý của họ phát huy tác dụng, thêm một cuộc lội ngược dòng nữa dành cho họ không phải là điều bất ngờ.
