Man Utd và những đường ngang nhàm chán của Van Gaal

(Bongda24h) - Khi mà xu hướng phát triển bóng theo chiều dọc đang dần lên ngôi thì Louis Van Gaal đi ngược lại khi để Manchester United tấn công bằng những pha bóng theo phương nằm ngang đầy chậm chạp.

 
Leicester lên ngôi vô địch với lối chơi phòng ngự phản công với những pha phất bóng dài theo chiều dọc sân. Atletico Madrid tiến tới chung kết Champions League cũng bằng những pha tấn công theo chiều dọc sân. Cả hai câu lạc bộ đến lúc này đều đang thành công với triết lý của mình khi không quá đề cao tỉ lệ kiểm soát bóng, cũng như tấn công với hướng bóng theo chiều dọc lên trên để rút ngắn tối đa không gian lẫn thời gian tiến vào khung thành đối phương.
 
Man Utd cần nhiều hơn những tình huống phát triển bóng theo chiều dọc giống như bàn thắng của Juan Mata.

"Tôi nghĩ rằng HLV Van Gaal đánh giá sự thành công của một trận đấu dựa trên sự kiểm soát bóng" - Paul Scholes không giấu nổi sự mỉa mai khi chứng kiến trận thắng 1-0 đầy nhạt nhòa của đội bóng thân yêu trước Norwich. Quả thật, 90 phút trên sân Carrow Road chứng kiến một M.U nhàm chán khi chỉ biết chuyền đi chuyền lại. Bàn thắng của Juan Mata chỉ đến từ một pha bóng đột biến của "Quỷ đỏ" nhưng nó không làm mờ đi những lo âu về mặt chiến thuật mà HLV Louis Van Gaal đang áp dụng.
 
Hãy nhìn Atletico Madrid và Leicester, những đội bóng đang thành công mùa này. Ngoài hàng phòng ngự vững chãi, họ còn gây ấn tượng với khả năng tấn công rất nhanh. Với Leicester là những cú phất bóng từ tuyến dưới để Vardy bứt tốc. Còn với Atletico Madrid cũng là những pha tấn công với hướng bóng theo chiều dọc nhằm tiếp cận cầu môn đối phương nhanh nhất có thể. Để thấy được hiệu quả của những pha bóng theo chiều dọc, hãy nhìn lại bàn thắng của Matic vào lưới Sunderland cũng ở vòng 37 Premier League vừa qua.
 
Đó là một pha tấn công theo chiều dọc từ trung lộ chếch một chút sang phía cánh trái theo hướng phát triển bóng của Chelsea. Chỉ mất bốn nhịp bóng qua chân của Fabregas, Hazard, Diego Costa rồi Matic, bóng đã nằm gọn trong lưới Sunderland. Trên thực tế, bàn thắng của Rooney cũng đến từ một pha tấn công theo chiều dọc với cú phất bóng của tuyến dưới bỏ qua rất nhiều khoảng không gian để Rooney di chuyển, rồi kiến tạo cho Juan Mata cũng di chuyển theo chiều dọc sân băng xuống làm bàn (xem biểu đồ bên dưới).
 
Bàn thắng của Juan Mata bắt nguồn từ pha tấn công với đường chuyền táo bạo theo chiều dọc sân.

Trước khi có bàn thắng, lối chơi của M.U tỏ ra rất bế tắc khi phát triển bóng thường theo phương ngang. Các cầu thủ Man Utd chủ yếu chuyền đi chuyền lại ở khu trung tuyến với những đường chuyền ở cự li ngắn và trung bình. Điều đáng nói là đa phần trong số đó là những đường chuyền theo phương nằm ngang, có rất ít những đường chuyền dọc sân ở cự ly dài và trung bình được tạo ra.
 
Hãy nhìn vào biểu đồ chuyền bóng của Juan Mata, cầu thủ thi đấu ấn tượng nhất trong trận này với tỉ lệ chuyền bóng thành công lên đến 97% và có hai pha chuyền bóng có thể dẫn đến bàn thắng. Đa phần những đường chuyền của Juan Mata là chuyền ngang hoặc chuyền về, rất ít khi tiền vệ này phát triển bóng theo chiều dọc sân. Một trong hai pha chuyền bóng có thể dẫn tới bàn thắng của Juan Mata là cú chọc khe bổng theo chiều dọc cho Herrera băng xuống ở phút 48 nhưng cầu thủ này đã dứt điểm quá vội vàng (xem biểu đồ chuyền bóng của Juan Mata bên dưới).

Điều đó khiến những tình huống tấn công của Man Utd mất đi rất nhiều tính bất ngờ. Với những tình huống tấn công theo phương dọc, các cầu thủ sẽ "đánh cắp" không gian và thời gian để khiến hàng thủ đối phương bị động trong việc tìm ra phương án hóa giải. Nhưng khi triển khai tấn công theo phương ngang thì mọi thứ sẽ chậm lại, hàng thủ đối phương sẽ có thời gian để ổn định tổ chức khi các cầu thủ chuyền đi chuyền lại với nhau.
 
Dưới thời Sir Alex Ferguson, chiến thuật M.U không quá chuộng những pha phát triển bóng theo phương nằm ngang. Những đường chuyền của họ hoặc chọc thẳng vào trung lộ, hoặc đưa ra cánh rồi từ cánh lại bó vào giữa với số đường chuyền ít tối đa để tạo bất ngờ cho hàng phòng ngự đối thủ. Nhưng dưới thời Van Gaal, các cầu thủ dường như không có quyền mạo hiểm nữa. Điều đó khiến lối chơi của "Quỷ đỏ" thiếu đi tốc độ cũng như sự bất ngờ.
 
Có lẽ với việc Leicester và Atletico Madrid đang thành công với những pha tấn công có hướng bóng theo chiều dọc, HLV Louis Van Gaal cũng nên học theo xu hướng đó khi để các cầu thủ sử dụng nhiều hơn những đường chuyền thọc sâu theo phương thẳng đứng thay vì chuyền qua, chuyền lại theo phương ngang ở cự ly ngắn và trung bình.
 
Dù chưa thể chắc chắn Man Utd có thể thành công nếu chuyển sang tấn công với tốc độ cao bằng những cú chuyền bóng mạo hiểm theo chiều dọc nhưng ít nhất, những trận đấu của "Quỷ đỏ" sẽ có tốc độ cao hơn, bớt nhàm chán hơn so với sự cẩn thận thái quá ở hiện tại.
