M.U: Herrera chính là chìa khóa cho hàng tiền vệ kim cương

Khi mà Quỷ đỏ đang thu được những tín hiệu khởi sắc từ sơ đồ 4-3-1-2 thì rõ ràng, HLV Van Gaal nên dành sự tin tưởng cho Ander Herrera trên hàng tiền vệ M.U.

Cập bến đội bóng chủ sân Old Trafford với mức giá chuyển nhượng lên đến 28,8 triệu bảng trong giai đoạn mùa Hè năm ngoái, đương nhiên việc Herrera được các CĐV M.U đặt nhiều kỳ vọng cũng là điều hoàn toàn bình thường. Trên thực tế, màn khởi động của ngôi sao người Tây Ban Nha tại “Nhà hát của những giấc mơ” là không tồi chút nào. Liên tiếp trong một vài trận đấu đầu tiên dưới thời HLV Van Gaal, cựu tiền vệ Bilbao đã có những màn trình diễn tương đối ấn tượng. Mặc dù vậy, kể từ thời điểm bị thay ra trong trận hòa 2-2 của Quỷ đỏ trước West Brom hồi tháng 10/2014 vì lý do chấn thương xương sườn, Herrera đã không còn được “Tuy-lip thép” tin tưởng và trọng dụng nữa.

 

Dễ dàng nhận thấy rằng, cầu thủ người Tây Ban Nha không phải là một nhân tố thực sự phù hợp với các ý đồ chiến thuật của HLV Van Gaal. Cụ thể, khi mà M.U sử dụng một lối chơi thiên về kiểm soát bóng và áp đặt thế trận, đồng nghĩa rằng tính trực diện trong các đường chuyền cuối cùng của Quỷ đỏ cũng vô tình bị hạn chế đi khá nhiều. Bản thân Herrera, mặc dù là mẫu tiền vệ sở hữu những phẩm chất sáng tạo hết sức tuyệt vời nhưng đã phải chấp nhận “thui chột” khả năng của mình để đảm bảo cho hệ thống luân chuyển bóng được vận hành một cách ổn định và chắc chắn, thay vì các đường chuyền mang đột phá lên tuyến trên.

Bên cạnh đó, cũng cần phải nói thêm rằng trong sơ đồ 3-5-2 mà Van Gaal thường xuyên áp dụng cho Quỷ đỏ suốt quãng thời gian vừa qua, cơ hội để Herrera cạnh tranh suất đá chính cũng là tương đối ít ỏi. Xét về năng lực, ngôi sao người Tây Ban nha có thể đá hộ công, tiền vệ trung tâm hay tiền vệ thu hồi bóng đều được. Tuy nhiên, khi mà bộ khung Carrick-Rooney-Mata liên tục được “đóng đinh” ở các vị trí chủ chốt, mọi chuyện cũng không còn đơn giản đối với cựu cầu thủ Bilbao. Thậm chí, trong nhiều thời điểm cần tăng cường sức chiến đấu cho hàng tiền vệ M.U, Van Gaal cũng ưu tiên Marouane Fellaini hơn.

Mặc dù vậy, sau khi trải qua hơn một nửa mùa giải 2014/2015 với hàng loạt những thử nghiệm bất thành, có vẻ như nhà cầm quân người Hà Lan đã bắt đầu nhận ra rằng đội hình 3-5-2 mang đậm cá tính của mình là không thực sự phù hợp trong môi trường bóng đá Premier League, vốn bị ảnh hưởng bởi rất nhiều nét văn hóa truyền thống riêng biệt. Không khó để nhận thấy, mùa giải năm nay, Quỷ đỏ mặc dù đã cầm bóng tốt hơn, luân chuyển bóng nhịp nhàng và ổn định hơn. Thế nhưng, khả năng tung ra những đường chuyền sáng tạo ở các tình huống xuyên phá cuối cùng lại suy giảm rất nhiều. Vô hình chung, điều này cũng trở thành nguyên nhân quan trọng lý giải vì sao M.U không thể khai thác một cách hiệu quả những khoảng trống ở khu vực 1/3 sân đối phương.

Trong bối cảnh trên, giải pháp đưa đội bóng thành Manchester quay về với hệ thống 4-4-2 kim cương xem chừng là một phương án hoàn toàn hợp lý của “Tuy-lip thép”. Kéo theo đó, chính là sự trở lại cần thiết của một nhân tố liên tục bị “lãng quên” trong suốt quãng thời gian vừa rồi, Ander Herrera. Với khả năng lên công về thủ toàn diện, cầu thủ người Tây Ban Nha có thể trở thành “chất keo” kết dính quan trọng giữa các mắt xích trên hàng tiền vệ M.U. Thống kê cho thấy, dù chỉ thi đấu 15 trận cho Quỷ đỏ kể từ đầu mùa nhưng Herrera đã ghi được 3 bàn thắng đồng thời có 4 đường chuyền kiến tạo cho các đồng đội. Trung bình mỗi trận, cựu ngôi sao Bilbao cũng thực hiện được 1,1 đường chuyền quan trọng đồng thời đạt tỷ lệ chuyền bóng chính xác lên đến 87%.

Herrera đem đến sự sáng tạo cần thiết cho hàng tiền vệ M.U

Mặt khác, xét trên khía cạnh phòng ngự, cầu thủ 25 tuổi cũng có những đóng góp hết sức đáng kể vào lối chơi chung của đội nhà, với 1,8 cú tắc bóng thành công; 1,3 pha đánh chặn chuẩn xác và 0,5 tình huống truy cản kịp thời (tính trung bình mỗi trận). Đồng nghĩa rằng, hàng tiền vệ M.U sẽ được đảm bảo sự chắc chắn mỗi khi Herrera xuất hiện trên sân. Xét trên nhiều khía cạnh, khi mà đội bóng chủ sân Old Trafford chưa sở hữu một “máy quét” thực thụ theo đúng nghĩa, điều này sẽ là phương án cần thiết giúp cho tuyến giữa Quỷ đỏ duy trì được tính cân bằng và ổn định.

Trong hai trận gần nhất, khi Van Gaal chuyển sang sử dụng sơ đồ chiến thuật 4-4-2 kim cương (4-3-1-2), lối chơi của M.U đã trở nên khởi sắc và hiệu quả hơn rất nhiều. Trận thắng Cambridge cách đây ít ngày, chỉ ngay sau khi vào sân được ít phút, Herrera đã tung ra đường chuyền kiến tạo hết sức nhạy cảm giúp cho tài năng trẻ James Wilson lập công. Cần phải nhấn mạnh rằng, đây cũng là tình huống mà ngôi sao người Tây Ban Nha đã xử lý cực kỳ đơn giản, với một pha cướp bóng hiệu quả ở giữa sân đồng thời đưa bóng lên phía trên rất nhanh. Rõ ràng, khi có sự xuất hiện của Herrera trong đội hình, Quỷ đỏ có thể dễ dàng triển khai một lối đá trực diện và tốc độ hơn, qua đó tăng cường đáng kể tính hiệu quả trong những tình huống lên bóng. Mặc dù vậy, việc HLV Van Gaal có thực sự tin tưởng cựu tiền vệ Bilbao hay không, vẫn còn là một câu hỏi chưa rõ hồi kết…
