M.U thảm bại trước PSV: 5 quyết định sai lầm của Van Gaal

(Bongda24h.vn) - Tại trận đấu PSV vs M.U tại vòng bảng Champions League 2015/16 vừa qua, Quỷ đỏ đã gây thất vọng rất lớn khi thất thủ 1-2 dù dẫn trước. HLV Van Gaal là người phải chịu trách nhiệm lớn nhất với những quyết định khó hiểu.


Quá ham kiểm soát bóng
M.U kiểm soát bóng vượt trội nhưng vẫn thất bại trước PSV
Ngay khi HLV Van Gaal
ngồi vào chiếc ghế nóng tại sân Old Trafford, ông đã xây dựng cho M.U lối chơi thiên về kiểm soát bóng. Mùa trước, Quỷ đỏ là đội bóng có tỉ lệ kiểm soát bóng nhiều thứ hai giải đấu, thế nhưng rốt cục họ phải rất vất vả mới có được vị trí thứ 4. Rất nhiều trận đấu, Man đỏ cầm bóng vượt trội song vẫn phải ôm hận. Mùa này, mặc dù có rất nhiều sự xáo trộn về mặt nhân sự, thế nhưng “Tulip Thép” vẫn tiếp tục áp dụng lối chơi thiên về kiểm soát bóng. Sau 5 vòng đấu đầu tiên, M.U là đội sở hữu bóng nhiều thứ hai tại Premier League với 58,75%. Tuy nhiên, thông số đó chẳng nói lên điều gì. Ở trận hòa 0-0 với Newcastle, M.U cầm bóng 70% nhưng chỉ có được 1 điểm. Ở trận đấu với Swansea, Quỷ đỏ cầm bóng 64% nhưng vẫn nhận thất bại 1-2. Ở trận đấu với PSV tại vòng bảng Champions League 2015/16, Van Gaal tiếp tục bị ám ảnh bởi chủ nghĩa khống chế bóng. Trước PSV, M.U kiểm soát tới 67%, chơi lấn lướt... nhưng hiệu quả gần như không có và chung cuộc họ thất bại 1-2 trước đội bóng của Hà Lan. Cũng ở trận đấu đêm qua, Man City thất thủ 1-2 trước Juventus khi cầm bóng tới 59%. Những Leicester City hay Crystal Palace đang bay cao tại Premier League mà tỷ lệ sở hữu bóng trung bình chỉ là 40,22% và 41,05%. Đây là những ví dụ điển hình giúp Van Gaal có cái nhìn khái quát hơn về khái niệm kiểm soát bóng.

Bố trí Herrera đá cặp tiền vệ trung tâm với Schweinsteiger

Ở trận PSV Eindhoven vs MU, HLV Van Gaal đã bố trí Bastian Schweinsteiger đá cặp tiền vệ trung tâm với Ander Herrera. Có vẻ như “Tulip Thép” đã khá chủ quan khi bố trí hai cầu thủ đá ở trung tâm đều thiên về tấn công, trong khi đó những tiền vệ có xu hướng thi đấu phòng ngự như Michael Carrick hoặc Morgan Schneiderlin lại không được sử dụng. Mùa này, Herrera chơi tốt ở vị trí “số 10” nhưng khi được bố trí đá tiền vệ trung tâm anh lại không thể hiện được khả năng của mình. Trong trận thua vừa rồi, cầu thủ người Tây Ban Nha chẳng làm được gì mặc dù vẫn di chuyển tích cực. Herrera thực hiện 62 đường chuyền thành công và chỉ có một cú sút. Ngoài ra, anh có 3 lần phạm lỗi với cầu thủ đối phương trước khi rời sân nhường chỗ cho Fellaini ở phút 75. Không những không tham gia tấn công hiệu quả, cựu cầu thủ của Bilbao còn chẳng giúp gì trong việc hỗ trợ phòng ngự. Việc để Herrera đá cặp tiền vệ trung tâm với Schweinsteiger khiến rất nhiều tình huống M.U rơi vào thế bị động khi đối phương phản công. Nếu như Michael Carrick hoặc Morgan Schneiderlin được sử dụng, chắc chắn tình thế có thể đã khác.

Sử dụng Ashley Young ở vị trí chạy cánh phải

Sở trường của Ashley Young là chạy cánh trái, thế nhưng ở trận PSV 2-1 M.U vị chiến lược gia 64 tuổi đã bố trí tuyển thủ người Anh đảm nhiệm nơi hành lang cánh phải. Việc bị Van Gaal kéo sang cánh không phải sở trường để giữ chỗ bên cánh đối diện cho trò cưng đồng hương Memphis Depay đã khiến lối chơi của cựu tiền vệ Aston Villa trở nên thiếu hiệu quả. 85 phút có mặt trên sân, cựu cầu thủ của Aston Villa chỉ có 46 lần chạm bóng, tung ra 3 cú sút vô hại về phía khung thành đối phương. Có cảm giác như Young quen đi bóng bên cánh trái rồi ngoặt lại để tạt bằng chân phải hơn là tạt trực tiếp từ cánh phải. Hệ quả là anh liên tiếp tung ra những đường chuyền thiếu chính xác, thêm nữa, những pha đi bóng tốc độ và chồng biên đặc trưng của cầu thủ này cũng mất hút hoàn toàn.

Để Anthony Martial đá cắm
Martial có xu hướng chơi rộng
Trong chiến thắng 3-0 trước Liverpool, mặc dù chỉ vào sân từ băng ghế dự bị nhưng tân binh sao trẻ Anthony Martial đã để lại dấu ấn đậm nét với pha solo ghi bàn hoàn hảo. Nhiều người cho rằng Quỷ đỏ đã tìm ra được một tiền đạo cắm thích hợp. Ở trận đấu với PSV, do Rooney dính chấn thương còn Marouane Fellaini không thể hiện được khả năng ở vị trí trung phong khiến Van Gaal quyết định sử dụng Martial ở vị trí tiền đạo cắm. Thế nhưng, khi được đá chính từ đầu cầu thủ người Pháp lại không đáp ứng được kỳ vọng nơi BHL và NHM Man đỏ. Ngoài tốc độ, Martial gần như vô hại trước khung thành của đội chủ nhà. Bằng chứng là suốt cả trận đấu Martial chỉ có 46 pha chạm bóng, tung ra được đúng 2 cú dứt điểm. Ngoài ra, Martial cho thấy anh không thích hợp với vai trò “số 9” khi di chuyển quá rộng, và có xu hướng lùi sâu kiếm bóng. Chứng kiến điều này có lẽ Van Gaal đang cảm thấy tiếc vì trót bán Chicharito, một cầu thủ rất biết cách tỏa sáng khi được vào sân thay người. Đúng như Van Gaal nói, Martial vẫn là bản hợp đồng của tương lai. Sau những gì đã thể hiện, cầu thủ 19 tuổi có lẽ thích hợp hơn với vị trí đá cánh ở M.U.

Sau khi để Herrera đá tiền vệ trung tâm còn Young chuyển sang đá cánh phải thì Van Gaal quyết định để Juan Mata đá hộ công ngay sau Martial. Trong màu áo Chelsea, Mata được biết đến khi chơi rất tốt ở vị trí “số 10”. Những tưởng khi được trở lại vị trí sở trường anh sẽ bùng nổ, thế nhưng mọi chuyện không đơn giản như vậy. Trong suốt phần lớn thời gian của trận đấu, có cảm giác Mata gặp vấn đề về tâm lý khi không dám giữ bóng quá lâu và một vài lần chuyền hỏng khi đối phương áp sát nhanh. Tiền vệ người Tây Ban Nha sở hữu 3 cú sút nhưng đều đi không trúng đích. Ngoài ra, cầu thủ 27 tuổi còn có 5 lần chuyền hỏng trong trận đấu. Việc sử dụng Mata ở vị trí hộ công cho thấy Van Gaal vẫn chưa tìm ra một cầu thủ mà ông ưng ý nhất ở vị trí này. Giai đoạn đầu mùa giải, “Tulip Thép” bất ngờ trọng dụng Adnan Januzaj ở vị trí “số 10”, khi cầu thủ này bị đẩy tới Dortmund thì ông trao cơ hội cho Ander Herrera. Nhưng trong trận thua PSV, Juan Mata lại chơi ngay sau tiền đạo cắm Martial.
