 Dù rằng "Quỷ đỏ" thành Manchester chưa thể chính thức sở hữu ngôi sao mà họ theo đuổi bấy lâu nay nhưng hãy cứ thử hình dung xem Van Gaal sẽ phải sử dụng Di Maria ra sao cho hiệu quả nhất nếu có "Thiên thần" người Argentina trong tay.

Kể từ ngày lên nắm quyền, chiến lược gia người Hà Lan đã mặc nhiên ấn định đấu pháp được ông ưa thích cho Man Utd. Thậm chí, không ít lần, ông khăng khăng tuyên bố đó là sơ đồ phù hợp nhất với tình cảnh hiện tại của đội bóng vào thời điểm này và có thể phát huy tối đa nội lực của CLB. Chỉ có điều, sau màn thử nghiệm cực kỳ thành công ở loạt trận giao hữu thì đấu pháp này khi chính thức được triển khai trên thực tế trong 2 vòng đầu tiên của Premier League đã bộc lộ quá nhiều vấn đề như lo ngại của giới chuyên môn hay nói một cách khác, "Quỷ đỏ" chưa thể hiện được bất cứ sự lột xác nào trong hình hài mới và vẫn lâm vào cảnh bế tắc, yếu kém, thiếu sức sống lẫn sáng tạo hệt như khi David Moyes còn dẫn dắt.

Song ít nhất thời gian sắp tới, Van Gaal sẽ chưa chịu thay đổi quan điểm của mình bởi đơn giản, những chiến lược nhiều tuổi, lại dày dạn kinh nghiệm đỉnh cao và sở hữu bản sơ yếu lý lịch hoành tráng như ông thường có tính bảo thủ rất cao. Bản thân Van Gaal luôn khôn ngoan tính đường lui cho mình khi một mực tuyên bố, ông cần tối thiểu 3 tháng để đưa Man Utd trở lại đúng quỹ đạo vốn cố (có thể hiểu theo nghĩa khác rằng: Van Gaal cần khoảng thời gian khá dài như vậy để thoải mái "xáo trộn", khám phá đội bóng rồi sau đó mới tìm ra chiến lược đúng đắn nhất). Do đó, kể cả khi mang về CLB vài gương mặt đình đám như Di Maria thì kiểu gì số tân binh này cũng sẽ bị lắp ghép vào cái sơ đồ 3-5-2 cho đến chừng nào Van Gaal vẫn còn tin tưởng vào nó.

Vậy thì, Di Maria sẽ thi đấu ở đâu trong sơ đồ này. Tất nhiên, đa phần sẽ nghĩ ra ngay vị trí chạy cánh (trái hoặc phải) vốn được xem là tử huyệt hiện nay của Man Utd. Song nếu đẩy Di Maria ra biên thì đồng nghĩa, Man Utd càng phải chấp nhận cái cánh do tiền vệ này phụ trách thường xuyên bị đối thủ khai thác vì từ xưa đến nay, Di Maria chỉ quen thi đấu như một tiền vệ công đúng nghĩa chứ có mấy khi phải tham gia vào công tác phòng ngự mà một cầu thủ chạy cánh trong đấu pháp 3-5-2 luôn đòi hỏi công - thủ toàn diện để tạo sự cân bằng. Như thế, sức tấn công có thể tăng nhưng hàng phòng ngự vốn dĩ đã mỏng và yếu thì sẽ càng trở nên mong manh hơn. Thực ra, nếu Di Maria mau chóng toả sáng rực rỡ, chơi cực kỳ nổi bật để "công bù đắp được thủ" thì về cơ bản, Van Gaal cũng chẳng việc gì phải lo (trong bóng đá, xét cho cùng, cứ thắng là được còn cách biệt bao nhiêu, có thuyết phục hay không chỉ mang tính tham khảo) và các CĐV hứa hẹn sẽ được chứng kiến những cơn mưa bàn thắng ở các trận có sự góp mặt của Man Utd.

Tuy nhiên, nếu hướng đến giải pháp an toàn và giảm thiểu rủi ro thì Di Maria nên được kéo vào trung tuyến để hai cánh do những gương mặt giỏi phòng ngự hơn phụ trách (như tân binh Marcos Rojo hay Valencia). Mùa trước, tại Real sau sự xuất hiện của Bale thì Di Maria thường xuyên phải đá như một tiền vệ trung tâm và anh nhanh chóng thích nghi cũng như luôn hoàn thành xuất sắc nhiệm vụ được giao. Như vậy, hoặc Di Maria sẽ đá cặp tiền vệ lùi với Ander Herrera (hay Darren Fletcher) hoặc sẽ sắm vai "hộ công" cho bộ đôi tiền đạo mà hiện nằm trong tay Juan Mata nhưng hai trận vừa qua, tiền vệ người TBN khá mờ nhạt trong vai trò này. Đánh giá tổng thể hai phương án bố trí Di Maria ở trung tuyến thì phương án 2 xem ra khả thi hơn vì với năng lực, đẳng cấp, kinh nghiệm của mình, Di Maria đủ sức tạo ra đột biến, sáng tạo cao cho hàng công đang khá bế tắc trong ý tưởng. Bên cạnh những đường chuyền sắc lẹm cho hai tiền đạo thì bản thân Di Maria cũng sở hữu trình độ dứt điểm đáng gờm (có phần trội hơn Mata) và bộ ba Rooney - Van Persie - Di Maria mà có thể hợp tác một cách vui vẻ, phối hợp nhịp nhàng thì hoàn toàn có thể sánh ngang bất cứ một hàng công nào tại châu Âu. Nhưng đừng vội nghĩ, Juan Mata sẽ bị gạt ra rìa một khi vị trí ưa thích của anh bị Di Maria chiếm mất.

Trên thực tế, Mata (trừ phi quá ngang bướng) mà chấp nhận hy sinh, thi đấu thấp hơn như một tiền vệ trung tâm quán xuyến tuyến giữa thì ai dám bảo anh không thể thi đấu nổi bật ở vị trí mới này. Đừng quên, hiện giờ, rất nhiều đội bóng vẫn thường xuyên bố trí một tiền vệ mang thiên hướng "số 10" đá thấp bên cạnh một cầu thủ chỉ chuyên đánh chặn nhằm tăng khả năng phát động tấn công từ xa, điều phối bóng cũng như tiềm ẩn nguy hiểm khôn lường sau khi nhìn thấy thành công vang dội của Andrea Pirlo tại CLB Juventus cũng như ĐTQG Italia. Nói đâu xa, tại Premier League, Man City (Yaya Toure - Fernandinho hoặc Fernando), Liverpool (Gerrard - Henderson) và giờ có thêm Chelsea (Fabregas - Matic) đều triển khai cách sắp xếp này ở trung tuyến. Juan Mata khá tương đồng với Fabregas, chưa kể cả hai cùng mang quốc tịch TBN (tức là sở hữu khả năng chuyền bóng đa dạng, ngắn dài, trung bình cho đến chọc khe) nên Mata có thể trở thành "một con thoi" nơi tuyến giữa, lên công về thủ nhịp nhàng và đủ sức tạo được dấu ấn sâu đậm như những gì F4 đang thể hiện ở The Blues. Thậm chí nhờ vậy, Mata sẽ có điều kiện hoàn thiện hơn kỹ năng của mình.

Triển khai 4-3-3

Việc Van Gaal để lại dấu ấn mạnh ở World Cup 2014 khi áp dụng "đao pháp 3-5-2" ở  ĐTQG Hà Lan đã khiến không ít người quên mắt rằng thực ra, 4-3-3 mới là chiến thuật được Van Gaal yêu thích nhất, sử dụng thường xuyên nhất trong hơn 20 năm làm nghề ở mọi đội bóng ông dẫn dắt. Thực ra, lúc mới đến Old Trafford, Van Gaal đã tâm sự rằng do không sở hữu những cầu thủ chạy cánh đẳng cấp như Di Maria hay Cris Ronaldo nên ông chưa thể nghĩ tới chuyện vận hành sơ đồ này. Điều đó có nghĩa khi Di Maria chính thức gia nhập Man Utd thì đội bóng đã có thêm thứ "vật liệu vô cùng quý giá" để xây dựng ra 4-3-3.

Nhìn tổng thể thì dường như 4-3-3 có vẻ là giải pháp tối ưu một khi có Di Maria trong tay. Thứ nhất, Van Gaal sẽ không còn phải lo lắng về hàng phòng ngự bởi đã có thể bố trí 4 hậu vệ "xịn", áp lực phải tìm kiếm thêm trung vệ mới sẽ giảm đi so với tiếp tục theo đuổi 3-5-2 (vì khi đó, ông chỉ phải dùng 2 trung vệ thay vì 3 nên chưa chắc đã cần bổ sung nhân sự do đã có trong tay đội ngũ kha khá như Evans, Smalling, Jones, gương mặt mới Rojo và phía sau đã có Blackett, Michael Keane dự phòng). Thứ hai, Di Maria đã quá quen với sơ đồ này trong mấy năm trở lại đây khi Ancelotti trở thành HLV trưởng Real và lại còn được bố trí ở rất nhiều vị trí khác nhau nên sẽ cực kỳ thuận lợi trong việc thích ứng cũng như toả sáng. Thứ ba, vốn dĩ rất nhiều ngôi sao tấn công của Man Utd cũng đa năng chẳng kém gì Di Maria, do đó xếp họ vào 4-3-3 càng đơn giản, chưa kể hứa hẹn sức công phá mãnh liệt khi mà họ có thể hoán đổi vị trí nhịp nhàng, tự do di chuyển một cách hợp lý nhưng vẫn giữ được cái "hồn cách" của 4-3-3, khiến các đối thủ không biết đâu mà lần trong khi sức mạnh, sở trường của họ vẫn được phát huy tối đa.

Hãy lưu ý rằng, Mata thích đá ở trung tâm nhưng anh hoàn toàn có thể đảm nhận vai trò tiền đạo cánh. Wayne Roone từng không ít lần thi đấu đầy ấn tượng trong vai trò tiền vệ ... trung tâm hay như Van Persie trong quá khứ đâu được đá trung phong cắm ở ĐT Hà Lan mà toàn phải dạt cánh. Ander Herrera với cái chất TBN trong con người cũng như khả năng hơi lệch về công thì càng dễ bộc lộ năng lực trong 4-3-3. Cứ tưởng tượng mà xem, Van Gaal có thể đưa ra không biết bao nhiêu cách sắp xếp cho hàng công. Khi ấy, Di Maria có thể cùng Rooney, Mata, Van Persie hoặc thậm chí Ashley Young, Januzaj chia nhau 3 vị trí trên hàng công. Người nào bị loại ra (không tính Van Persie bởi đơn giản, Percy đương nhiên không thể chơi được ở tuyến giữa) sẽ trở thành một trong hai tiền vệ mang thiên hướng tấn công bên cạnh một cầu thủ chuyên đánh chặn giống mô hình tổ chức của Barca bao năm qua hay Real Madrid mấy năm gần đây. Xavi - Iniesta từng là cặp sen đầm nơi tuyến giữa làm mưa làm gió ở xứ sở bò tót và châu Âu trong khi mùa trước, Modric và ... Di Maria đã làm lối chơi của Real thêm ảo diệu bên cạnh bộ ba siêu đẳng BBC. Đừng quên rằng, dù thi đấu ở tuyến giữa nhưng Di Maria mới là cầu thủ kiến tạo hay nhất Los Blancos. Vậy thì, hoàn toàn có cơ sở để tin rằng Di Maria cùng Ander Herrera (hoặc Mata, Rooney) có thể mang lại rất nhiều điều hay ho, sáng tạo cho Man Utd từ tuyến giữa, một khi Van Gaal chuyển sang 4-3-3.

Các sơ đồ khác

Tất nhiên, hai đấu pháp kể trên chỉ là một phần nhỏ trong lĩnh vực chiến thuật "muôn hình vạn trạng" và về mặt lý thuyết, sau khi có thêm một sự lựa chọn chất lượng cao như Di Maria thì Van Gaal có thể áp dụng 4-4-2, đặc sản truyền thống của Premier League hay 4-2-3-1, lối chơi vẫn đang rất thịnh hành trên thế giới. Với 4-4-2 (sẽ phải tập trung nhiều vào đá biên) thì Di Maria gần như chắc chắn sẽ phải chơi cánh (trái hoặc phải) bởi điểm mạnh nhất của anh vẫn là những quả tạt có độ chuẩn xác cao. Với 4-2-3-1 thì Di Maria có nhiều lựa chọn hơn và cũng được tự do thoải mái hơn trên hệ thống 3 "hộ công" phía dưới 1 trung phong cắm. Khi ấy, trừ phi có đột biến xảy ra thì sức tấn công của Man Utd sẽ chính thức nằm trọn trong tay "bộ tứ thần thánh" Rooney - Mata - Di Maria - Van Persie và ít bị "rơi rớt" vào tay một cầu thủ nào khác giống như các sơ đồ kia.

Kết luận

Dù thế nào thì Di Maria thực sự là một sự bổ sung vô cùng chất lượng cho Man Utd và khó có chuyện anh sẽ lấy đi suất đá chính của một trụ cột hiện tại trên hàng công (chính xác nhóm này chỉ có thể bao gồm 3 người gồm Rooney, Mata, Van Persie. Còn những Januzaj, Young, Kagawa thì kể cả Di Maria không gia nhập Man Utd thì cũng không dễ có được chỗ đứng "bất khả xâm phạm" trong mùa tới) dù rằng chính Van Gaal từng kêu sở hữu quá nhiều "số 9", "số 10" vì đơn giản, Di Maria đang ở một đẳng cấp cao mà trên đó, giỏi lắm chỉ có bóng dáng của vài "Quỷ đỏ". Song Di Maria cũng chỉ là người thường chứ không phải thần tiên mà có thể vực dậy cả đoàn tàu đang trì trệ của Man Utd. Thêm vào đó, Man Utd vẫn cần phải mua thêm một tiền vệ chuyên phòng ngự tầm cỡ thế giới để đảm bảo bất cứ sơ đồ nào cũng sẽ có thêm điều kiện để vận hành trơn tru.
