Barca và Bayern: Vì khan hiếm tiền đạo, nên sinh ra "số 9 ảo"

Sau trận thắng Celtic 1-0 với bàn duy nhất của Cesc Fabregas, cầu thủ chơi ở vị trí số 9 ảo, huấn luyện viên Tata Martino ca ngợi: “Cesc giống như bánh lái của một con tàu”. Có một điểm giống nhau giữa Barcelona của Pep Guardiola, Barcelona của Martino và Bayern Munich của Guardiola: cả ba đều dựa vào những số 9 ảo đầy mê hoặc.



Chúng ta có thể gọi rất nhiều số 9 ảo khác ở châu Âu hiện nay là “bánh lái của con tàu”, như Fabregas: Francesco Totti tỏa sáng rực rỡ trong chuỗi bảy trận toàn thắng đầu mùa của Roma, với ba bàn, sáu đường kiến tạo, chơi số 9 ảo trong sơ đồ 4-3-3 của Rudi Garcia; Bayern Munich vừa hủy diệt Manchester City 3-1 với Thomas Mueller đá số 9 ảo; tương tự, Liverpool không dùng Luis Suarez hay Daniel Sturridge đá cắm, mà cho cả hai chơi như hai... tiền vệ cánh. Số 9 ảo, sau khi trở thành một trào lưu từ năm 2012, tiếp tục nở rộ mùa này.

Vì khan hiếm tiền đạo thực thụ

Lẽ thường, một đội bóng luôn cần tiền đạo. Tiền đạo giúp đảm bảo nguồn bàn thắng, giữ sự cân bằng đội hình, làm tường, thu hút hậu vệ đối phương. Nhưng các câu lạc bộ châu Âu mùa này lại khan hiếm tiền đạo giỏi.

Robert Lewandowski quyết định ở lại thêm một mùa là tin vui lớn với Borussia Dortmund. Sau khi mất Mario Goetze về Bayern Munich, Dortmund cần Lewandowski, một số 9 thực thụ, để chiến thuật đội bóng không bị ảnh hưởng. Ngược lại, bán Mario Gomez cho Fiorentina, Bayern chỉ còn Mario Mandzukic là số 9 thực thụ. Trong nhiều trận, như trước Man City vừa kể, Guardiola dùng Mueller là số 9 ảo.


Ở nước Anh, Chelsea đang vật vã vì hàng tiền đạo kém cỏi. Jose Mourinho buộc phải mua Samuel Eto’o vì hụt con cá lớn Wayne Rooney. Đến lúc này, hàng tiền đạo Chelsea vẫn chưa ghi bàn, dù Fernando Torres, Eto’o và Demba Ba ngốn tổng cộng gần 25 triệu bảng tiền lương mỗi năm. Tương tự ở Arsenal, chủ đề về các số 9 được bàn tán nhiều nhất, khi đội bóng chỉ có Olivier Giroud là tiền đạo thực thụ, sau khi hụt ba ngôi sao cỡ bự ở hàng công là Rooney, Suarez và Gonzalo Higuain trong kỳ chuyển nhượng mùa hè. Ngoài Giroud, nguồn bàn thắng của Arsenal đến từ... Aaron Ramsey, một tiền vệ phòng ngự, và Jack Wilshere, tác giả bàn gỡ hòa trước West Brom mới nhất.

Real Madrid bán Higuain cho Napoli, để giờ lo ngay ngáy vì chỉ còn tiền đạo đẳng cấp duy nhất Karim Benzema. Tại Barcelona, Martino vẫn trung thành với phương án chơi không số 9 thực thụ: Fabregas phải lên đá tiền đạo ảo, khi tân binh Neymar bị đẩy sang cánh trái.

Tiền đạo ảo dần phổ biến

Thuật ngữ số 9 ảo mới xuất hiện trở lại gần đây, nhưng thực ra, vị trí này được sử dụng từ xa xưa. Những năm 1930, đội tuyển Áo được gọi là “wunderteam” vì có “Mozart của bóng đá” Matthias Sindelar chơi tiền đạo ảo, ghi 27 bàn sau 43 lần khoác áo đội tuyển. Tuyển Hungary vĩ đại những năm 1950 có số 9 ảo Nandor Hidegkuti, nổi tiếng với cú hat-trick vào lưới tuyển Anh ở Wembley năm 1953.

Vị trí số 9 ảo được tái sinh trong bóng đá hiện đại khi Totti đá trên đỉnh hàng công Roma mùa 2005-06. Gọi là trên đỉnh, nhưng thực ra, Totti hoạt động từ một phần ba phần sân đối thủ trở lại trong sơ đồ 4-5-1-0 của Luciano Spalletti. Khi sử dụng một tiền đạo thực thụ, hậu vệ đối phương nhận biết rõ người phải kèm để sắp xếp hàng thủ. Với một số 9 ảo như Totti, các hậu vệ bị kéo lên, tính lưu động ở một phần ba sân đối thủ tăng lên. Điều này đặc biệt cần thiết khi tuyến dưới thường xuyên bị lèn chặt người với sơ đồ gồm 8-10 cầu thủ phòng ngự mà các đội bóng hay dùng.

Trả lời tờ Guardian mới đây, Jonathan Wilson, tác giả cuốn sách chiến thuật bóng đá nổi tiếng “Inverting the Pyramid” (Đảo ngược kim tự tháp) nhận xét: “Bóng đá đang trải qua một quá trình quá độ. Cầm bóng, pressing và chuyền bóng, chứ không phải đi bóng; đẩy đội hình cao lên để đánh chặn, chứ không phải tắc bóng”. Có lẽ chính vì thế, thay vì sử dụng một tiền đạo cao to “ăn chực nằm chờ” trong vòng cấm đối phương, các huấn luyện viên sử dụng những số 9 ảo nhỏ bé nhưng tinh khôn đá thấp.

Sau Totti của Roma, Manchester United của Alex Ferguson sử dụng Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo trong sơ đồ 4-6-0 vô địch Champions League 2008. Công thức này lên đến đỉnh cao mùa 2010-11, khi Guardiola khai thác Lionel Messi một cách hoàn hảo ở vị trí này, ghi 53 bàn, giành Quả bóng vàng FIFA. Sau đó, Tây Ban Nha của Vicente Del Bosque ru ngủ đối thủ bằng 4-2-1-3-0 với Fabregas đá tiền đạo ảo, vô địch Euro 2012.

Mùa này, tiền đạo ảo được sử dụng rộng rãi khi các đội bóng thiếu tiền đạo… thật, phải lấy sự linh hoạt thay thế công thức sử dụng trung phong cắm. Roma có Totti, Barcelona có Fabregas, Bayern Munich có Thomas Mueller, Swansea có Michu, Liverpool có không những một, mà hai số 9 ảo là Suarez và Sturridge trong sơ đồ 3-5-2-0, từ khi Suarez trở lại sau án treo giò. Nếu Giroud chấn thương, huấn luyện viên Arsene Wenger có thể dùng Ramsey đá tiền đạo ảo. Ở Chelsea, Eden Hazard là một lá bài có thể đẩy tương lai Eto’o, Torres và Ba vào ngõ cụt, nếu Mourinho quyết định đi theo trào lưu...

Tại World Cup 2014 sắp tới, chúng ta có thể được xem ít nhất hai đội tuyển lớn dùng số 9 ảo là Tây Ban Nha và Đức. Tây Ban Nha thành công rực rỡ tại Euro 2012 với sơ đồ này, sẽ tính tới phương án ấy nếu Fabregas vẫn cứ chơi tuyệt hay còn những tiền đạo như Fernando Llorente, Torres, vẫn phập phù. Tuyển Đức thì đã sử dụng công thức này từ trận thắng Kazakhstan 3-0 năm ngoái.  Đức hiện khủng hoảng hàng công, với Miroslav Klose sẽ 36 tuổi vào năm sau còn Gomez đang chấn thương rất nặng.

Số 9 ảo chỉ là một giải pháp tình thế khi các đội bóng thiếu tiền đạo. Nhưng thành công của Barcelona và tuyển Tây Ban Nha đang dần tăng tầm quan trọng của vị trí này, biến nó thành một phương án nằm trong sổ tay các huấn luyện viên. Thay vì những tiền đạo “cồng kềnh” trong vòng cấm, bóng đá hiện đại chuộng những cầu thủ nhỏ con, giỏi đánh hơi khoảng trống và xử lý khéo léo trong phạm vi hẹp. Khi sự linh hoạt được thay thế cho tính thực dụng, “virus số 9 ảo” sẽ còn lan nhanh.
