Man City 7-0 (10-2) Schalke: Hủy diệt đối thủ, Man xanh hiên ngang vào tứ kết Champions League

Man City đã tận dụng lợi thế sân nhà để hủy diệt Schalke với tỷ số 7-0 tại Etihad, qua đó hiên ngang vào tứ kết Champions League mùa này với tổng tỷ số 10-2 sau hai lượt trận.

Man City đã rất may mắn khi bốc phải lá thăm mang tên Schalke ở vòng 1/8 Champions League 2018/19. Đội bóng nước Đức đã suy yếu rất nhiều so với vài năm trước đây, ở Bundesliga thậm chí đội bóng này còn đang trong cuộc đua trụ hạng. Ở lượt đi, mặc dù chơi thiếu người song Man xanh vẫn giành chiến thắng với tỷ số 3-2, qua đó chiếm lợi thế trước trận lượt về ở Etihad.

Chứng kiến Real và PSG bị Ajax và M.U loại ở vòng 1/8 dù có những chiến thắng ở lượt đi khiến Pep rất cảnh giác, ông khẳng định các học trò cần duy trì sự tập trung ở trận lượt về. Ông thầy người TBN đã sử dụng đội hình mạnh nhất trong trận tiếp đội bóng nước Đức ở Etihad. Như thường lệ, Man xanh vẫn đá 4-3-3. Sterling, Aguero và Sane là bộ ba tấn công được Pep tin tưởng. Hỗ trợ 3 cầu thủ này là Gundogan, David Silva và Bernardo Silva. 
Thông số trận đấu Man City 7-0 Schalke

Trong số 3 tiền vệ của Man City ở trận đấu này, Gundogan đảm nhiệm vai trò hỗ trợ phòng ngự thay Fernandinho, người dính chấn thương và không thể góp mặt. Ở hàng thủ, Walker và Zinchenko là 2 hậu vệ cánh. Việc Stones và Kompany dính chấn thương cùng án treo giò của Otamendi buộc Danilo phải đá cặp trung vệ với Laporte. Trong khung gỗ vẫn là cái tên quen thuộc Ederson.

Bên kia chiến tuyến, Schalke cũng ra sân với đội hình mạnh nhất có thể, đội bóng nước Đức quyết tâm có thể gây bất ngờ tại Etihad. Những ngôi sao tấn công tốt nhất của đội bóng này như tiền đạo người Thụy Sỹ Embolo hay chân sút người Áo Burgstaller đều ra sân ngay từ đầu. Tiền vệ sáng tạo Serdar có nhiệm vụ cung cấp bóng cho 2 tiền đạo phía trên. Dù rất cần bàn thắng, song nhiều khả năng Schalke sẽ chơi phòng ngự phản công, bởi nếu chơi đôi công với đội chủ nhà, rất khó để họ có thể làm nên bất ngờ.

Đúng như dự đoán, Man City với lợi thế sân nhà đã dồn lên ngay sau tiếng còi khai cuộc, trong khi đó Schalke đang chơi phòng ngự phản công. Trong khoảng 10 phút đầu tiên, trận đấu diễn ra với tốc độ trung bình. Man City dù cầm bóng vượt trội song không chơi tấn công quá dồn dập, họ chủ yếu lên bóng ở hai cánh với tốc độ của Sane và Sterling. Vẫn chưa có một cú dứt điểm nào được hai đội tạo ra. 

Man City chơi tấn công ngay sau tiếng còi khai cuộc

Phải đến phút 14, Man City mới có cơ hội rõ ràng đầu tiên, song lại không thể tận dụng. Raheem Sterling đột phá bên hành lang cánh phải sau đó căng ngang thuận lợi thể Aguero băng vào đệm bóng, chỉ tiếc rằng El Kun lại đưa bóng đi trúng cột dọc của Schalke. Với lợi thế rất lớn ở trận lượt đi, Man City không cần phải tìm mọi cách để ghi bàn. Ngược lại, Schalke với một đội hình lùi sâu đang gặp rất nhiều khó khăn trong việc triển khai những tình huống lên bóng. Trận đấu diễn ra được 27 phút, song chỉ có duy nhất 1 cú dứt điểm đến từ Aguero. 

Phút 31, từ quả tạt của đồng đội, Aguero thoát xuống thực hiện pha đánh đầu nhưng bóng đi quá nhẹ và trúng vị trí của thủ thành Fahrmann. 1 phút sau đó, Bruma có tình huống phạm lỗi với Bernardo Silva trong vòng cấm, trọng tài đã chỉ tay vào chấm 11m. Trên chấm phạt đền, Sergio Aguero đánh bại Fahrmann mở tỷ số cho Man City. Đây là pha lập công thứ 26 sau 36 trận trên mọi mặt trận cua El Kun ở mùa giải này.

Bàn mở tỷ số của Aguero khiến cánh của vào tứ kết của Schalke càng thêm khó khăn. Phải đến phút 37, đội khách mới có cú dứt điểm đầu tiên. Stambouli tung cú sút xa rất căng ngang nhưng bóng đi chệch cột dọc. Ngay sau đó Man City có câu trả lời. Phút 38, từ một pha phản công nhanh, Sterling có tình huống gót bóng tinh tế để Aguero dứt điểm ở góc hẹp đánh bại Fahrmann lần thứ 2. Trong thời gian còn lại của trận đấu, Schalke phải ghi 3 bàn và không để thủng lưới nếu muốn buộc Man City phải đá thêm giờ.

Aguero lập cú đúp chỉ trong ít phút

Phút 42, Man City lại có thêm một bàn thắng. Zinchenko có tình huống chọc khe tinh tế để Sane băng xuống dứt điểm chéo góc nâng tỷ số lên 3-0. Như vậy là trong cả 2 trận đấu đối đầu với CLB cũ, cầu thủ người Đức đều ghi bàn và anh đều không ăn mừng. Tổng tỷ số sau 2 lượt trận đã là 6-2 cho Man City, cơ hội đi tiếp của Schalke đã không còn.

Trận đấu có 2 phút bù giờ, thời gian ít ỏi đó là không đủ để một trong hai đội có được bàn thắng. Trong 45 phút đầu tiên, Man City áp đảo hoàn toàn. Đội chủ sân Etihad cầm bóng đến 73%, dứt điểm 7 lần, 6 trúng đích và ghi được 3 bàn. Bên kia chiến tuyến, Schalke chỉ có 1 lần dứt điểm không trúng đích. Ngay từ những phút đầu hiệp 2, Schalke đã chủ động đẩy cao đội hình tìm kiếm bàn thắng, điều đó khiến hàng thủ của họ để lộ rất nhiều khoảng trống. Phút 51, Sane có tình huống bắt tốc độ sau đường chuyền dài của đồng đội, song cầu thủ mang áo số 19 lại dứt điểm chệch cột dọc trong tình huống đối mặt với thủ môn Fahrmann.

Phút 56, Man City có bàn thắng thứ 4. Từ đường căng ngang khó chịu của Sane, Sterling băng vào đệm bóng chính xác nâng tỷ số lên 4-0. Như vậy là cả 3 cầu thủ tấn công của Man xanh đều ghi bàn ở trận đấu này. Đội khách gần như đã buông xuôi và những bàn thắng đến rất dễ dàng với Man xanh. Trong 10 phút cuối trận, Schalke đã nỗ lực nhưng không thể tìm bàn gỡ.
