So với U23 Tajikistan, U23 Kyrgyzstan sẽ là thử thách không kém phần khó khăn với U23 Việt Nam trước ngày tham dự vòng loại U23 châu Á 2022.

U23 Việt Nam đối đầu U23 Kyrgyzstan trong trận giao hữu cuối cùng trước vòng loại U23 châu Á 2022. Bàn thắng từ chấm 11 m của Lê Văn Đô và cú đúp của Trần Văn Đạt giúp U23 Việt Nam giành chiến thắng 3-0.

Trên BXH FIFA mới nhất được công bố tháng 9/2021, Kyrgyzstan xếp hạng 98 (chỉ sau Việt Nam 2 bậc). ĐTQG nước này đang có những sự tiến bộ nhất định trong thời gian qua với chiến tích gần nhất là vào đến vòng 1/8 của Asian Cup 2019.

Ở cấp độ bóng đá trẻ, sau thời gian dài các cầu thủ trẻ của Kyrgyzstan không được đầu tư nhiều và có thành tích rất tệ ở các giải châu lục, hiệu ứng từ ĐTQG đã mang đến bộ mặt khác. Những đội tuyển trẻ Kyrgyzstan được đá giao hữu nhiều hơn, các gương mặt triển vọng được xuất ngoại nhiều hơn và lứa cầu thủ sinh sau năm 1999 - tương đương U23 Kyrgyzstan lần này được kỳ vọng sẽ giúp nền bóng đá Trung Á lần đầu dự VCK U23 châu Á.

Để chuẩn bị cho trận đấu gặp U23 Việt Nam cũng như vòng loại U23 châu Á 2022, LĐBĐ Kyrgyzstan đã cho các cầu thủ U23 tập trung từ ngày 10/10. 26 cầu thủ đã được triệu tập với 7 tuyển thủ quốc gia, trong đó có 3 cầu thủ đang thi đấu ở nước ngoài là thủ môn Artem Pryadkin, trung vệ Maksat Dzhakybaliev và tiền vệ Gulzhigit Alykulov.

Trong số này, đáng chú ý nhất là cầu thủ 20 tuổi - Gulzhigit Alykulov. Dù chỉ có chiều cao 1m70 nhưng tiền vệ này sở hữu kỹ thuật khá tốt. Anh đã có kinh nghiệm khoác áo ĐT Kyrgyzstan từ năm 2017 và đã ghi được 3 bàn thắng. Ngoài ra, Alykulov đang thuộc biên chế CLB Kairat (Kazakhstan) nên anh đã có nhiều lần được ra sân ở các trận đấu vòng loại tại cả 3 cúp châu Âu mùa giải năm nay (Champions League, Europa League và Europa Conference League).

Với "hồ sơ" khá đẹp của mình, Alykulov được định giá chuyển nhượng lên đến 750.000 Euro, con số cao nhất trong thành phần U23 Kyrgyzstan hiện tại. Tiền vệ này sẽ đóng vai trò chủ chốt của U23 Kyrgyzstan và anh sẽ là mối nguy hiểm với các hậu vệ U23 Việt Nam tối nay.

Một chi tiết đáng chú ý khác của U23 Kyrgyzstan hiện tại là việc HLV của họ - Nurbek Zholdoshov năm nay mới chỉ 32 tuổi. Nhà cầm quân trẻ tuổi này là cựu trung vệ của ĐT Kyrgyzstan và mới chỉ giải nghệ cách đây chưa lâu.
