Gallagher tỏa sáng trong lần trở lại Selhurst Park, Chelsea tiếp đà hồi sinh

Tiền vệ người Anh tiếp tục thể hiện cái duyên của mình khi đụng đội bóng cũ Crystal Palace bằng việc lập cú đúp, góp công lớn vào chiến thắng chung cuộc 3-1 của Chelsea trong thế bị dẫn bàn.

So với trận gần nhất (thắng Aston Villa ở đá lại vòng 4 FA Cup), HLV Pochettino chỉ có một sự điều chỉnh duy nhất trong danh sách xuất phát của Chelsea khi lão tướng Thiago Silva trở lại hàng thủ thay cho Badiashile dính chấn thương. Hai đội đều nhập cuộc đầy thận trọng và duy trì nhịp độ thi đấu chậm nên cuộc chơi diễn ra khá tẻ nhạt, không có nổi một pha bóng nguy hiểm nào trong nửa đầu hiệp 1.

Tuy nhiên ngay ở tình huống đáng chú ý đầu tiên, bàn thắng đã xuất hiện. Bị dẫn bàn, Chelsea đương nhiên phải tìm cách đẩy cao đội hình lên tấn công hòng sớm gỡ hòa nhưng họ tạo ra quá ít nguy hiểm về khung thành Palace dù toàn kiểm soát bóng hơn 70%. Cơ hội gần như duy nhất là cú đá chệch cột dọc của Connor Gallagher.

Và rồi vẫn phải nhờ vào Connor Gallagher thì Chelsea mới định đoạt được cuộc chơi. Đúng phút 90, The Blues tổ chức phản công nhanh và Sterling đẩy bóng xuống cho Cole Palmer. Cựu sao trẻ Man City xử lý cực kỳ bình tĩnh trước khi kiến tạo thuận lợi để Gallagher một lần nữa dứt điểm ngay chạm đầu tiên, bóng đi chìm hiểm hóc làm bó tay Dean Henderson.
