Góc kỹ thuật: Walcott là lời giải cho vị trí “số 9” của Arsenal

Thi đấu ấn tượng trong trận thắng 1-0 trước Chelsea đêm qua, Theo Walcott đã chứng tỏ rằng mình hoàn toàn xứng đáng trở thành lời giải cho vị trí mũi nhọn cao nhất trên hàng công Arsenal.

Khá nhiều người cảm thấy bất ngờ khi HLV Wenger quyết định sử dụng Theo Walcott ngay từ đội hình xuất phát trong trận tranh Community Shield đêm qua. Thay vì sự lựa chọn quen thuộc mang tên Giroud, “Giáo sư” đã chấp nhận để một “số 9 ảo” đảm nhiệm vai trò cao nhất trên hàng công Arsenal. Về mặt lý thuyết, Walcott không sở hữu nền tảng thể lực và sức mạnh càn lướt giống như Giroud. Tuy nhiên, điểm mạnh nổi bật của ngôi sao người Anh lại chính là khả năng bứt tốc cực kỳ tuyệt vời. Xét trong bối cảnh Pháo thủ duy trì một thế trận phòng ngự phản công chủ động thì sự xuất hiện của Walcott trên tuyến đầu cũng phần nào giúp cho đội bóng của HLV Wenger trở nên nguy hiểm hơn ở các tình huống lên bóng nhanh.

Walcott xứng đáng được trao cơ hội trên hàng công Arsenal

Dễ dàng nhận thấy rằng, hàng phòng ngự Chelsea không dám dâng cao như thường lệ để chủ động áp sát và gây áp lực với đối phương. Lý do hết sức đơn giản, các hậu vệ bên phía The Blues đều cảm thấy e ngại trước tốc độ bứt phá của Walcott. Vô hình chung, điều này cũng khiến cho đội hình của thầy trò HLV Mourinho trở nên thiếu liên kết giữa các tuyến để rồi nhanh chóng rơi vào trạng thái bế tắc toàn diện. Đa số các đợt tấn công bên phía Chelsea đều bị hàng thủ Arsenal bẻ gãy một cách tương đối đơn giản. Ngược lại, tuyến tiền vệ Pháo thủ lại được hoạt động tự do và thoải mái hơn rất nhiều.

Trong vai trò của một “thỏi nam châm” làm nhiệm vụ thu hút hậu vệ đối phương, Walcott đã liên tục di chuyển bao quát để tạo ra những khoảng trống cần thiết cho các đồng đội. Ở tình huống làm bàn đầu tiên, ngôi sao người Anh chính là tác nhân thực hiện đường chuyền kiến tạo thuận lợi giúp cho Chamberlain lập công. Trước đó, cũng cần phải nói thêm rằng sự linh hoạt mà Walcott mang đến cũng tạo điều kiện để “số 10” Oezil được di chuyển dạt sang cánh trái nhiều hơn đồng thời liên tục phối hợp cùng Cazorla, khuấy đảo hành lang cánh phải bên phía hàng thủ Chelsea.

Theo thống kê, Walcott chỉ thực hiện được vỏn vẹn 5 đường chuyền trong cả trận nhưng có tới 2 lần bóng đã trở thành những tình huống nguy hiểm thực sự và một lần chính là pha kiến tạo để Chamberlain ghi bàn. Thực tế cho thấy, khi mà Arsenal triển khai một lối đá thiên về phòng ngự phản công, đồng nghĩa rằng Walcott cũng hiếm khi có cơ hội được nhận bóng đều đặn trên tuyến đầu. Do đó, để đòi hỏi tiền đạo người Anh thường xuyên phải có những pha xử lý cá nhân đột biến xem chừng là điều quá khiên cưỡng. Mặt khác, như đã nói, vai trò thầm lặng của Walcott trong trận tranh Siêu Cúp nước Anh đêm qua không gì khác chính là một nhân tố thu hút sự chú ý từ phía hàng phòng ngự Chelsea, qua đó tạo nên khoảng trống cho các vệ tinh hoạt động xung quanh.

Về lâu về dài, có lẽ hàng công Arsenal vẫn cần thêm sự xuất hiện của một “số 9” đích thực để đảm bảo hiệu suất ghi bàn ổn định tại Premier League 2015/2016. Mặc dù vậy, cái tên Walcott cũng hoàn toàn đủ sức trở thành một giải pháp tương đối khả thi dành cho Pháo thủ, đặc biệt là ở những trận cầu mang tính chất quyết định. Bản thân cầu thủ người Anh, vốn dĩ không phải một trung phong cắm thuần túy nhưng rõ ràng, khả năng bứt tốc tuyệt vời của Walcott sẽ mang đến cho lối chơi bên phía đội bóng chủ sân Emirates thêm yếu tố cơ động cần thiết.
