Việc ban lãnh đạo Man City chuẩn bị chiêu mộ thành công Fabian Delph từ Aston Villa chắc chắn sẽ giúp cho hàng tiền vệ Man City khắc phục trọn vẹn bài toán mang tên Yaya Toure.

Những thông tin mới nhất từ báo giới Anh vừa tiết lộ rằng Man City đang chuẩn bị hoàn thành bản hợp đồng đầu tiên trong kỳ chuyển nhượng mùa Hè năm nay, với chữ ký của tiền vệ đa năng Fabian Delph, ngôi sao đang khoác áo Aston Villa. Cần phải nhấn mạnh rằng, số tiền mà ban lãnh đạo The Citizens chi ra trong thương vụ này là không quá lớn, khoảng 8 triệu bảng để phá vỡ hợp đồng của cầu thủ 25 tuổi. Theo dự kiến, Delph sẽ nhận được mức lương lên đến 100.000 bảng/tuần tại sân Etihad đồng thời trở thành một nhân tố quan trọng của HLV Pellegrini trong mùa giải sắp tới.

Fabian Delph hoàn toàn xứng đáng được kỳ vọng tại Man City

Dễ dàng nhận thấy rằng, hàng tiền vệ Man City đã suy yếu khá nhiều trong suốt một năm qua, đặc biệt là vị trí của Yaya Toure. Khi mà gánh nặng tuổi tác đang ngày càng trở thành vấn đề nan giải khiến cho ngôi sao người Bờ Biển Ngà trở nên chậm chạp và yếu đuối, đồng nghĩa rằng sơ đồ chiến thuật 4-4-2 bên phía đội bóng thành Manchester cũng trở nên mất cân bằng hơn bao giờ hết. Lý do quan trọng nhất chính là bởi Toure không còn duy trì được nền tảng thể lực, sức mạnh ổn định để cùng lúc đảm nhiệm đồng thời hai vai trò tấn công và phòng ngự như trước đây. Vô hình chung, gánh nặng cũng đè nặng lên vai Fernandinho/Fernando nhiều hơn dẫn đến hậu quả là việc tuyến giữa Man xanh thường xuyên rơi vào trạng thái bị “dính đòn” từ các pha phản công nhanh của đối phương.

Đây chính là nguyên nhân giải thích vì sao HLV Pellegrini quyết định nhắm đến cái tên Fabian Delph của Aston Villa như một mục tiêu hết sức quan trọng ở kỳ chuyển nhượng mùa Hè năm nay. Thực tế cho thấy, sau một mùa giải thi đấu bùng nổ trong màu áo đội bóng chủ sân Villa Park, cầu thủ người Anh hoàn toàn đủ sức trở thành lời giải cần thiết dành cho hàng tiền vệ The Citizens. Sở hữu nền tảng thể lực, sức mạnh và tốc độ tuyệt vời cùng khả năng đem bám, tranh chấp hết sức bền bỉ, có cảm giác rằng Delph chính là hình mẫu của Toure trong giai đoạn đỉnh cao. Mặc dù không mạnh về khoản dứt điểm nhưng với khả năng bứt phá mạnh mẽ, ngôi sao 25 tuổi vẫn có thể tạo ra sự đột biến đáng kể cho lối chơi của đội nhà.

Theo thống kê, Delph hoàn toàn vượt trội các tiền vệ bên phía Man City, xét trên cả hai khía cạnh tấn công và phòng ngự. Tính trung bình mỗi trận tại Premier League mùa giải 2014/2015, cầu thủ đang khoác áo Aston Villa thực hiện được 1,18 đường chuyền quan trọng đồng thời tạo ra 1,29 cơ hội (đều cao nhất). Ngoài ra, Delph cũng cho thấy sự hiệu quả trong khả năng rê dắt cá nhân với trung bình 2,18 tình huống đi bóng qua người/trận (cao nhất). Về khoản phòng ngự, ngôi sao người Anh xứng đáng được xem là một “cỗ máy chiến đấu” trong những pha tranh chấp tay đôi với tỷ lệ thắng “một chọi một” lên đến 62,23%, hoàn toàn áp đảo Toure (50,20%), Fernandinho (43,11%) và Fernando (39,62%).

Cần phải nhấn mạnh rằng, Fabian Delph cũng là mẫu cầu thủ cực kỳ đa năng. Bên cạnh sở trường là một tiền vệ “box-to-box”, ngôi sao người Anh cũng có thể đảm nhiệm các vị trí tiền vệ trung tâm, tiền vệ phòng ngự, hộ công hoặc tiền vệ chạy cánh nếu cần thiết. Ở một phương diện nào đó, rõ ràng cái giá 8 triệu bảng để đổi lấy chữ ký của Fabian Delph xứng đáng là một thương vụ cực kỳ “hời” dành cho ban lãnh đạo Man xanh. Chưa kể, sự xuất hiện của tiền vệ 25 tuổi này cũng giúp cho đội bóng thành Manchester thêm phần đảm bảo luật “home-grown player” (quy định về số lượng cầu thủ bản địa).

Tất nhiên, vào thời điểm này, để ngay lập tức khẳng định rằng Delph chắc chắn sẽ tỏa sáng trong màu áo Man City, vẫn còn là một câu chuyện hết sức viển vông. Thế nhưng, tiềm năng và những phẩm chất của ngôi sao người Anh là điều mà không ai có thể phủ nhận. Trải qua một năm “trắng tay” danh hiệu, đây chính là lúc ban lãnh đạo đội bóng chủ sân Etihad cần phải nhanh chóng hoàn thiện đội hình trên tất cả các tuyến để tiếp tục hướng đến những danh hiệu ở mùa giải tiếp theo.
