Mohamed Elneny: Người mang cân bằng cho tuyến giữa Arsenal

Tân binh Mohamed Elneny đang dần trở thành người đá cặp tốt nhất của Francis Coquelin nơi hàng tiền vệ Arsenal thay cho Santi Cazorla đang phải ngồi ngoài vì chấn thương.

Cơn bão chấn thương đã cướp đi của Arsenal tiền vệ tài năng Santi Cazorla từ tháng 11 năm ngoái. Và đó thực sự là một tổn thất không thể nặng nề hơn với đội bóng thành London. Trước khi cầu thủ người Tây Ban Nha dính phải chấn thương dây chằng đầu gối tai hại, tỉ lệ chiến thắng của Arsenal tại Premier League lên tới 62%. Pháo thủ cũng là đội bóng tạo ra được nhiều cơ hội ghi bàn nhất giải đấu (trung bình 6.13 cơ hội/trận). Theo thống kê, kể từ khi Cazorla chấn thương cho tới trước trận thua tai hại 2-3 trên sân Old Trafford gắn liền với cái tên Marcus Rashford, tỉ lệ giành chiến thắng trung bình của đội bóng áo đỏ trắng đã giảm xuống chỉ còn 47%. Thiếu vắng bộ não của cầu thủ người Tây Ban Nha ở tuyến dưới, những đường chuyền hướng lên phía trên của Pháo thủ đã kém hơn trước cả về số lượng lẫn chất lượng. Kể từ khi được thi đấu cho đội bóng thành London, Elneny đã giữ tỉ lệ chuyền bóng thành công ở một mức vô cùng ổn định là 90%. Thậm chí, trước một Barcelona hùng mạnh và có một tuyến tiền vệ khủng bố, con số này còn lên tới 93%. Với việc được cấp bóng thường xuyên hơn, những ngôi sao trên hàng công như Sanchez hay Ozil có nhiều cơ hội phô diễn hơn. Bên cạnh đó, khả năng giữ vị trí của Elneny so với Ramsey là tốt hơn rất nhiều. Dù không thể hỗ trợ trực tiếp cho mặt trận tấn công nhưng ngôi sao người Ai Cập có khả năng chọn vị trí khá tốt để đánh chặn từ xa, qua đó duy trì áp lực lên khung thành của đối thủ.

Khá đáng tiếc là HLV Wenger tìm ra phương thuốc Elneny chữa trị cho hàng tiền vệ Arsenal hơi muộn khi mà khả năng vô địch Premier League của Pháo thủ chỉ còn trên lý thuyết. Tuy vậy, họ hoàn toàn có thể mơ về một vị trí cao nếu duy trì sự góp mặt của bộ đôi Coquelin – Elneny trong phần còn lại của mùa giải.
