Những điểm nhấn đáng chú ý sau thắng lợi của Man City trước Aston Villa

Hoàn toàn bế tắc trước hàng phòng ngự được tổ chức tốt của Aston Villa, tuy nhiên, chỉ cần nhờ đến một khoảng khắc thiên tài từ Yaya Toure, thầy trò HLV Manuel Pellegrini đã xoay chuyển được cục diện trận đấu và giành trọn vẹn 3 điểm ngay trên sân Villa Park.

1.Toure vẫn hết sức quan trọng

Dẹp tan những lời chỉ trích, những hoài nghi kể từ đầu mùa, đêm qua, tiền vệ người Bờ Biển Ngà đã thực hiện một pha lập công vô cùng quan trọng để mở ra chiến thắng cho The Citizens. Thi đấu bế tắc trong phần lớn thời gian, dù nắm hoàn toàn thế chủ động trên sân nhưng Man City vẫn không thể tìm được đường vào khung thành West Brom. Mặc dù vậy, phút thứ 82, sau một pha xử lý “xuất thần”, Yaya Toure đã thực hiện một pha dứt điểm đẳng cấp, mở tỷ số cho thầy trò HLV Pellegrini.

Trên thực tế, đây không phải một trận đấu mà ngôi sao 31 tuổi đã chơi tốt. Như thường lệ, anh vẫn tỏ ra khá chậm chạp trong các tình huống tranh chấp đồng thời “lười” tham gia công việc phòng ngự. Tuy nhiên, đến thời điểm Man City cần Toure nhất, cầu thủ người Bờ Biển Ngà đã có mặt đúng lúc. Pha ghi bàn của Toure không chỉ giúp The Citizens chơi thoải mái hơn để giành chiến thắng chung cuộc 2-0, mà còn là sự trút bỏ gánh nặng tâm lý đã đè nặng lên cựu tiền vệ Barca bấy lâu nay. Chắc chắn, trong khoảng thời gian tới, khi Toure trở lại là chính mình với hình ảnh của một “vị thần” ở giữa sân, Man City sẽ còn trở nên đáng sợ hơn rất nhiều.

2.Milner chính là “chìa khóa” trong lối chơi của The Citizens?

Điều này nghe có vẻ không được hợp lý cho lắm. Nhưng nếu nhìn vào các con số thống kê, người ta sẽ phải thực sự ngạc nhiên trước khả năng chuyền bóng cực kỳ hiệu quả của tiền vệ 28 tuổi này. Cụ thể, trong cả trận, James Milner đã có tới… 8 đường chuyền quan trọng cho các đồng đội, gấp gần 3 lần người xếp thứ nhì (David Slva, 3 đường chuyền). Cầu thủ người Anh cũng thực hiện thành công 1 pha kiến tạo giúp Sergio Aguero ghi bàn ấn định thắng lợi 2-0 cho Man City.

Với lối chơi cần cù, bền bỉ và nhiệt tình, Milner không quá ham dứt điểm. Ngay cả trong những tình huống có khoảng trống, ngôi sao người Anh cũng thường nỗ lực đưa bóng vào khu vực cấm địa để tạo cơ hội cho các mũi nhọn khác. Ngoài ra, khả năng hoán đổi vị trí của cầu thủ 28 tuổi cũng là rất tốt. Xuất phát trong vai trò của một tiền vệ cánh phải nhưng khi cần thiết, Milner vẫn có thể dạt trái hoặc lùi sâu, vừa tạo ra sự linh hoạt, biến hóa trong các pha tấn công, vừa để tham gia hỗ trợ phòng ngự cho hàng thủ.

3.Vai trò của David Silva

Được bố trí đá lệch trái trong đội hình xuất phát. Tuy nhiên, tiền vệ người Tây Ban Nha gần như tập trung hoạt động chủ yếu ở khu vực trung lộ, không khác gì một cầu thủ “số 10” thuần túy. Có thể nhận thấy, trong hầu hết các đợt tấn công của Man City, Silva chính là nhân tố trò vô cùng quan trọng giúp cho các “mắt xích” ở tuyến trên có được sự liên kết cần thiết với nhau.

4.Kolarov thi đấu gần như một… wing-back

Trong suốt cả trận, ngôi sao người Serbia đã có cơ hội thực hiện tới… 4 pha dứt điểm, chỉ ít hơn duy nhất Aguero (6 lần). Với việc Silva thường xuyên di chuyển vào trung lộ, cũng đồng nghĩa rằng khoảng trống dành cho Kolarov bên hành lang cánh trái là rất nhiều. Chính bởi vậy, trong một thế trận mà Man City hoàn toàn chiếm lĩnh thế chủ động, cựu hậu vệ Lazio đã liên tục có những tình huống băng lên tham gia tấn công, gần như một “wing-back” đúng nghĩa.  

Mặc dù vậy, sự hiệu quả mà Kolarov tạo ra là chưa thực sự đáng kể. Thống kê cho thấy, trong số tất cả 8 đường chuyền của cầu thủ 28 tuổi vào bên trong khu vực cấm địa, chỉ có 3 lần bóng đi chính xác. Ngoài ra, cả 4 cú sút mà hậu vệ người Serbia thực hiện, cũng không có lần nào đi trúng đích.


5.Man City vận hành với sơ đồ 4-2-2-2

Trên lý thuyết, The Citizens vẫn xuất phát với sơ đồ 4-4-2 quen thuộc. Tuy nhiên, trong phần lớn các tình huống triển khai tấn công, bộ đôi tiền vệ cánh Silva và Milner đều có xu hướng di chuyển chéo vào phía trong, nhằm thực hiện nhiệm vụ “kết nối” hàng tiền đạo với tuyến dưới đồng thời mở ra khoảng trống để các hậu vệ biên băng lên và hỗ trợ tấn công. Khi đó, đội bóng chủ sân Etihad cũng gần như thi đấu với hệ thống 4-2-2-2.

Ngoài ra, cũng cần phải nói đến khả năng di chuyển hết sức cơ động của cả Dzeko lẫn Aguero đã mang lại sự biến hóa đáng kể cho hàng công Man City. Trong khi Dzeko thường xuyên dạt cánh để thu hút sự chú ý của các trung vệ đối phương thì Aguero cũng tự biết cách lùi xuống, vừa để phối hợp với các đồng đội, vừa thoát khỏi sự đeo bám của cầu thủ bên phía West Brom.
