"Sát thủ" Aguero thông nòng trở lại, Man City dễ dàng "ăn hiếp" Fulham

Dù đội hình bị xáo trộn mạnh khi một loạt trụ cột được nghỉ ngơi nhưng dàn cầu thủ "hạng B" của Man City vẫn tỏ ra quá mạnh so với chủ nhà Fulham. Thậm chí chẳng cần phải tiêu tốn quá nhiều sức lực, Man xanh dễ dàng có chiến thắng 3 sao.

Vòng trước, Fulham đã gây sốc khi đánh bại nhà ĐKVĐ Liverpool 1-0 ngay tại sào huyệt Anfield của đối thủ. Tuy nhiên ai cũng biết The Kop đang trong giai đoạn vận số sa sút chưa từng có. Ngay cả Brighton hay Burnley cũng rời khỏi Anfield với 3 điểm trong tay thì thì việc Fulham làm được điều tương tự hóa ra cũng là thành tích… không  quá bất ngờ.
 
Vòng này, Fulham vừa phải tiếp đón Man City quá hùng mạnh, vừa phải chơi trên sân nhà. 10 trận trước đó thi đấu tại tổ ấm của mình, đội bóng London này mới chỉ thắng đúng 1 trận trước đội cuối bảng Sheffield United (thua 5). Chính thành tích sân nhà tệ hại đã đẩy họ vào tình thế nguy ngập hiện tại.

Trận lượt đi mùa này giữa đôi bên, Man City thắng nhẹ 2-0 nhưng kết quả đó lại được đánh giá mang tính bước ngoặt cho mùa giải 2020/21. Nó giúp họ lần đầu tiên chen chân trở lại Top 4 và phát đi thông điệp về sự nhập cuộc của mình vào cuộc đua vô địch. Đấy cũng là thắng lợi thứ 10 liên tiếp mà Man City trước Fulham trên mọi đấu trường, ghi tới 29 bàn tron khi chỉ bị thủng lưới 3 lần.

Đoàn quân của Pep Guardiola đã phải chấm dứt mạch toàn thắng sau khi thua đau 0-2 trước gã hàng xóm đáng ghét Man United song Man xanh đứng lên rất nhanh với màn vùi dập Southampton không thương tiếc. Đội bóng này còn thắng 11 chuyến xa nhà vừa qua trên mọi đấu trường. Riêng với những lần hành quân đến thủ đô gần đây, họ đã vượt qua Chelsea 3-1 hay thắng lợi 4-1 trên sân của Arsenal mà hai đội bóng này đều ăn đứt Fulham về mọi phương diện.

Không nằm ngoài dự đoán, Pep Guardiola lại thực hiện sách lược "xoay vòng lực lượng" thậm chí lại còn rất mạnh tay khi chỉ có 4/11 cầu thủ đá chính trong chiến thắng 5-2 trước Southampton cách đây vài ngày tiếp tục có mặt trong danh sách xuất phát ở trận này. Đó là cặp trung vệ Dias vs Laporte, hậu vệ phải Cancelo cùng thủ môn Ederson. Đồng thời Man xanh cũng điều chỉnh chiến thuật từ 4-3-3 sang 3-4-3.

Theo đó, Stones trở thành trung vệ thứ 3 nơi hàng phòng ngự bên cạnh bộ đôi "sẵn có" Dias vs Laporte. Ngoài Cancelo chạy cánh phải thì Benjamin Mendy sẽ quán xuyến bên cánh trái. Rodri vs Bernando Silva sẽ phụ trách khu vực giữa sân trong khi lâu lắm rồi Gabriel Jesus cùng Sergio Aguero mới lại xuất hiện cạnh nhau trên hàng công, kết hợp thêm với Ferran Torres.

Nhìn vào đội hình như thế này, hẳn ai cũng hiểu vì sao Man City lại xáo trộn đội hình như thế bởi đơn giản họ có quân số quá dồi dào, lại rất đồng đều với độ chênh lệch không nhiều. Tất nhiên nếu cân đo đong đếm chi li thì đội hình thi đấu trước Fulham có phần yếu hơn một chút, đặc biệt ở mặt trận tấn công (Jesus hơi vô duyên, Aguero vừa bình phục chấn thương dài hạn còn Ferran Torres có phần chững lại) tuy nhiên với cách biệt quá sâu so với nhóm bám đuổi và giữa tuần sau họ còn phải trải qua trận lượt về vòng 1/8 Champions League gặp Gladbach (lượt đi Man City thắng 2-0) thì cũng hoàn toàn hợp lý khi đội bóng thành Manchester tạm không xem trọng Premier League.

Ngoài việc không sử dụng lực lượng mạnh nhất thì cách tiếp cận trận đấu của Man City cũng đậm chất thực dụng khi họ chơi chắc, đề cao sự an toàn nơi hậu tuyến rồi mới tính đến chuyện tấn công. Thực ra đây là lối chơi đã dần trở nên quen thuộc với những ai yêu mến Man City. Mùa này, đội quân của Pep Guardiola nhiều khi chỉ đặt mục tiêu thắng là đủ chứ không nhất thiết phải thắng đẹp. thắng lớn như trước.

Tuy vậy, cũng chỉ đến đầu hiệp 2, Man City đã có bàn thắng mà chưa cần phải điều chỉnh lại cách đá. Phút 47, từ chấm đá phạt bên cánh trái, Cancelo đưa bóng khó chịu vào khu vực 16m50 và trung vệ Stones có mặt vung chân thực hiện cú chạm trên không đầy nhạy cảm, đủ đưa bóng vào lưới đội chủ nhà.

Bàn thắng giúp mọi chuyện càng trở nên dễ dàng với Man City. Phút 53, Bernando Silva khéo léo dùng kỹ thuật loại bỏ hai cầu thủ đối phương bên cánh phải để xâm nhập khu vực 16m50 rồi vẩy nhẹ má ngoài đưa bóng ra phía sau cho Rodri thực hiện cú sút nhưng bóng đi không căng, cũng chẳng hiểm nên bị Areola bắt gọn dễ dàng.

Dẫu vậy cũng chỉ đến phút 56 thì Man City đã gia tăng được cách biệt. Cú phá bóng của Andersen đã trúng vào người Cavaleiro lùi về hỗ trợ phòng ngự, qua đó vô tình mang đến cơ hội cho Gabriel Jesus. Tiền đạo người Brazil xử lý cực bình tĩnh, vượt qua cả thủ môn Areola rồi mới sút tung lưới trống.
Aguero chấm dứt 14 tháng tịt ngòi ở Premier League

Bàn thứ 3 xuất hiện không lâu sau đó. Phút 59, Ferran Torres bị Tosin Adarabioyo (cựu cầu thủ của ... Man City) phạm lỗi trong khu vực 16m50 và trọng tài ngay lập tức chỉ tay vào chấm phạt đền. Aguero được giao thực hiện cú đá 11m và anh đã thành công để chấm dứt 15 tháng tịt ngòi ở Premier League, phần nhiều do anh gặp chấn thương dài hạn.

Sau khi cách biệt đã quá an toàn, Man City chuyển sang ... đi bộ trên sân và chỉ còn vừa đá vừa ngóng tiếng còi khai cuộc. Trong khi đó, Fulham không rơi vào tình trạng chán nản đến mức buông xuôi mà vẫn nỗ lực tìm kiếm bàn danh dự. Mục tiêu đáng khen đó của đội chủ nhà suýt trở thành hiện thực nếu như thủ môn Ederson của trung vệ Laporte của đối phương không chơi xuất sắc trong những cơ hội tốt nhất mà Fulham có được trong hiệp 2.

Chung cuộc Man City thắng 3 sao để gia tăng cách biệt với MU đứng thứ 2 lên đến 17 điểm, tất nhiên là họ chơi nhiều hơn đến 2 trận. Ngày chính thức đăng quang ở Premier League đã đến rất gần với thầy trò Guardiola còn Fulham vẫn chưa thể thoát khỏi nhóm xuống hạng.
