M.U - Chelsea: Một lưỡi gươm, hai cách chém

Cùng lấy hệ thống 4-2-3-1 làm chủ đạo, với lối chơi chủ trương cân bằng giữa tấn công và phòng ngự, cùng được dẫn dắt bởi những HLV thích xoay vòng đội hình và trọng dụng các cầu thủ đa năng, nhưng M.U và Chelsea sẽ tiếp cận trận đấu theo hai phương pháp khác biệt.

Sở hữu bóng

Sơ đồ chiến thuật 4-2-3-1 đã trở thành công thức phổ biến trên thế giới trong vài năm qua, nhờ cho phép các đội vận hành nó tối ưu hóa khả năng tấn công, ổn định phòng ngự và quan trọng nhất là giữ bóng. Nhưng cả M.U và Chelsea đều không có xu hướng cầm bóng. Tỉ lệ cầm bóng của Chelsea mùa này dao động từ 50-55%, trong khi con số tối đa của M.U là 65%. Giải thích: Cả hai không cần tối ưu hóa tấn công, để tập trung cho việc ổn định phòng ngự và công kích có thời điểm.

Xu hướng ấy ngày càng thể hiện rõ rệt từ đầu năm mới đến giờ. Có lẽ tình trạng báo động của hàng thủ hai đội đầu mùa (2 cuộc đối đầu giữa 2 đội vào cuối tháng 10 và đầu tháng 11 năm ngoái đã kết thúc với các tỉ số “kinh hoàng” 2-3 và 5-4 cho Chelsea) đã khiến hai HLV phải quay lại với lựa chọn an toàn.

Khác biệt là M.U tuy không chủ trương áp đặt lối chơi, vẫn có thể cầm bóng tốt trước các đội yếu hơn khi cần giữ gìn lực lượng (trận thắng Norwich 4-0 mới đây, họ cầm bóng tốt đến nỗi mà cả trận, đội khách chỉ sút được đúng một quả), còn Chelsea thường không đủ độ “lạnh” để giữ bóng lâu. Thậm chí cả những trận thắng lớn như 8-0 trước Aston Villa vào cuối năm ngoái, Chelsea cũng chỉ cầm bóng 56%, và nếu chuyền bóng qua lại mà không hiệu quả, thì họ thường chuyền... vào chân đối thủ.

Phòng ngự

Khác biệt là M.U sử dụng 4-2-3-1 để phòng ngự vì nó duy trì tốt cự ly và kỷ luật đội hình, để phục vụ cho kiểu phòng ngự bằng cách giăng vị trí của họ. Chelsea thì có xu hướng tranh chấp và áp sát nhiều hơn khi phòng thủ. Gần như tất cả các cầu thủ M.U đều tham gia vào quá trình giữ vị trí này. Chelsea, vì áp sát nhiều, thường “khoán” vai trò phòng ngự cho một cá nhân chủ chốt (Mikel là “máy quét” duy nhất ở trung tuyến của họ lúc này).

Kiểu phòng ngự áp sát thường xuyên ấy “ngốn” rất nhiều thể lực và chỉ thành công với các cầu thủ có kỹ năng phòng ngự vượt trội, kết hợp được tốc độ và sức mạnh. Ở Chelsea hiện tại, không có một cầu thủ nào phù hợp, và 4-2-3-1 lúc này chỉ phát huy hiệu quả tương đối, đơn thuần về mặt quân số tranh chấp. Ngược lại, cách phòng thủ bằng vị trí giúp M.U không những chơi “nhàn” hơn, mà họ còn có thể “xoay vòng” các vị trí chủ chốt trong phòng ngự (cặp trung vệ và cặp tiền vệ trung tâm).

Tấn công

M.U và Chelsea đều tấn công theo thời điểm và ghi bàn theo tình huống, chứ không dựa trên nền tảng là sự áp đặt về mặt lối chơi. Điểm nổi bật của đội áo đỏ là họ có thể phát động tấn công từ bất kỳ vị trí nào và ghi bàn chớp nhoáng một cách rất chủ động (ví dụ điển hình là bàn thứ hai của Kagawa ở trận gặp Norwich, từ một quả phất bóng ở sân nhà cho Rooney băng lên và trả bóng để cầu thủ người Nhật lập công).

Chelsea thì ấn tượng hơn ở khả năng huy động quân số trong một pha tấn công, và các cầu thủ tấn công của họ có xu hướng chơi Latin, sáng tạo và kỹ thuật hơn. Nhưng cũng chính vì sự Latin ấy, mà Chelsea thiếu hẳn sự quyết đoán mà những cầu thủ dạng “trâu bò” như Drogba trước đây đã cung cấp cho họ. Và các cầu thủ Latin thường chỉ phát huy tốt nhất năng lực của họ trong thế trận áp đặt và cầm nhiều bóng.

Điều đó dẫn đến hệ quả là nếu không có một cá nhân kiệt xuất tỏa sáng trong phần lớn thời gian thi đấu (Oscar và Mata là hai niềm hy vọng đáng kể nhất), Chelsea dễ lâm vào bế tắc. Ngược lại, M.U chỉ cần một cá nhân tỏa sáng về mặt tình huống, trong một khoảnh khắc nhất định là đủ.

Xoay vòng & Các phương án khác

Sir Alex xoay vòng rất nhiều mùa này, thậm chí là rất... “phi logic”, nhưng ông xoay vòng không chỉ để dưỡng sức, mà còn để đa dạng hóa lối chơi và tạo bất ngờ cho đối phương, với nhiều cầu thủ tỏa sáng luân phiên: Welbeck ghi bàn vào lưới Real Madrid. Kagawa lập một hat-trick vào lưới Norwich. Giggs tỏa sáng ở trận gặp Queens Park Rangers. Đó cũng là cơ sở để ông Ferguson tính đến nhiều phương án chiến thuật khác nhau, như sơ đồ kim cương, hay thậm chí là hệ thống 4-4-2.

Ngược lại, Rafa Benitez xoay vòng đơn giản chỉ là để... xoay vòng (ông đã vấp phải sự chỉ trích của các cầu thủ thời gian gần đây), xuất phát từ việc không thấu hiểu các cầu thủ mình có trong tay.

Lưỡi gươm của M.U sắc bén hơn

Chelsea sẽ thận trọng hơn trong lối chơi áp sát, vì đá trên sân khách (họ sẽ phải kiềm chế tối đa... David Luiz, một trung vệ rất xốc nổi), nhưng sự lúng túng trong việc bắt vị trí của họ là cơ hội cho M.U khai thác. Nếu một trong những cầu thủ tấn công của Chelsea không tỏa sáng, thì mặt trận tấn công sẽ thiếu màu sắc và rất dễ bị lối chơi “ru ngủ” của M.U làm triệt tiêu cảm hứng. Và khi đã tiêu diệt cảm hứng của đối phương, M.U trở nên cực kỳ nguy hiểm.
